If you ask me, President Obama is being way too hard on himself.
"It's one of the few regrets of my presidency, that the rancor and suspicion between the parties has gotten worse instead of better," the president said during his final State of the Union address last week. He added,
'a president with the gifts of Lincoln or Roosevelt might have better bridged the divide."
While I'm all for humility, the president is not to blame for the rancor and polarization that have characterized his presidency.

He caused the rancor and suspicion, Juan, and has no regrets about it.
Yes, this is more head exploding pap from the left. My wife hollers whenever she happens to hear Juan's voice on FNS.
That’s absolutely not true, Juan.
I no longer watch you, so I quit screaming and throwing things at our TV.
So the president sent Al Sharpton out to bridge the divide...
And it deepened.
Shocking.
Sorry, Juan, but when you crap on the carpet at somebody’s home, you can expect a sharp comment.
Juan is the reason I first quit FOX years ago.
Instead as the worst kind of Community activist who perceives power as rallying protesters to yell and scream and demand change no matter the logic of their desires, he has brought that kind of “politics” with him to the White House.
He isn't mature enough to know how to play nice with either Republicans or the Judicial branch of government. Even Democrats are finding out that he can't play nice with them.
What will be interesting will to be see what he does after his term as President ends. If he is true to form he will be a disruptive force in this country even worse than Jessie Jackson or Al Sharpton. He will likely become a political activist that both Democrats and Republicans hate.
Those are his buddies who fired him.
Alinsky: ‘Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it’ AND a truism from Rules for Radicals (that the Republicans simply cannot find a way to defend against) ‘Ridicule is manâs most potent weapon’. Republicans just sound petty when they react to the lying ridicule of Leftists. Republicans need to add ridicule to their repertoire. Trump has almost perfected it’s use against Republicans. I will be happy when he directs more ridicule toward the Democrats.
LINCOLN!?!?!?! LINCOLN would unite the country. As in 700,000 Americans killed in a civil war and all that followed? That Lincoln? Roosevelt? The Roosevelt that perpetuated a depression that would have ended in a year or two in to a decade of misery and failure? That Roosevelt.
No, not at all Juan, it's George Bush's fault.
Juan Williams: a moron earning way too much money.

When he was elected the first time, I felt truly sick that such an incompetent person who seemed to hate America had been elected. I couldn't bear to read/watch/listen to news stories for several months.
But, nevertheless, I hoped that he'd at least use his presidency to promote strong black families (with a mother and a father), and would encourage black kids to value education, learn to speak correctly, and pull up their pants. He hasn't even done that. He's only made things worse. A total failure.
Juan is been out in the sun to long, like a life time he truely is demented
Juan has little luck winning debates on Fox. He is too loopy.
We know why Juan is on Fox and it’s not because of his pretty legs. ;-)
LOL, keyword “projection”
“LOL, keyword âprojectionâ”
That is what I thought of the article!
