Bristol Palin Welcomes Second Child
Washington Examiner ^ | 12/25/2015 | Kelly Cohen

Bristol Palin, the daughter of 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, has given birth to a second child.

Bristol Palin, who turned 25 in October and is a vocal advocate of sexual abstinence before marriage, tweeted Thursday that her "heart just doubled" at the birth of her new baby girl, Sailor Grace.

Palin announced she was pregnant in June, a few weeks after her engagement to Dakota Meyer , a 27-year-old U.S. Marine who received a 2009 Medal of Honor , was called off after a year-long relationship. Meyer tweeted a photo of the baby girl, too, writing: "Best Christmas present ever!! I couldn't be more proud of this little blessing."

Palin's first pregnancy came when she was 17 in 2008 during Sarah Palin's vice presidential campaign. Tripp, who turns seven this weekend, is the son of Bristol'' previous ex-fiance, Levi Johnson, 25, whom she was with from 2005-10.

Who cares? She didn’t abort either one, and she loves them both, and that’s all that’s really important.

I guess you couldn’t hold off being a a-hole for the Holiday, huh?

Welcome to the world, (distant) cousin.

I blame only Bristol, not Sarah. Young people have a reputation for being rebellious and not necessarily following their parents’ advice.

Then, I would expect the bashing of unwed welfare mothers on FR to stop?

My Mom passed away before I was two, but as soon as I was old enough, I made everyone in my family a homemade birthday cake. Favorites were German Chocolate, Italian Creme, and Peanut Butter. I still make homemade cakes because the mixes just don’t taste the same.

That’s the way it should be. Your son has the same birthday as Ted Cruz!

That is disgraceful that people should be so hateful.

Thank God this little girl has such a loving family. The world is a cruel place.

Hopefully.

However, Bristol Palin is more than just any old unwed mother. She occupies a very public position. This is not unlike that of a pastor. Recall from the New Testament that pastors will be judged by a stricter set of rules than people in the congregation. They are supposed to be moral exemplars without blemish.

I believe Bristol will have to face God and answer Him pretty much in the same way.

I wish good health for her and her baby.

‘Pod.

So, for some of us born in Rio Linda, and schooled in Californias laws of journalism, it appears that Sarah Palins daughter, got pregnant, that the father did not marry the mother, and that she has a child to raise without the full support of a marriage pact, signed, with a ring, a cake, wedding bells, and honeymoon, but rather another FACEBOOK marriage of just clicking the tab on STATUS, and change to Married, or Complicated.....

No, I lost my Mom before I was two and I guess no one ever thought of it.

I’m glad this little girl has a loving family to protect her from a world that is not so loving. I am sorry to see so many on this site be cruel and unforgiving. This is a precious little girl who had no say in how she came into the world.

And just so we are clear, I cannot judge Bristol. That would be the last thing I should do.

We are all sinners, every one.

God bless!

I used to make peanut butter cake all the time!! I don’t think I’ve made it since all peanut butters were homogenized. Now, of course, one can find organic with no artificial ingredients, but since I live alone, I don’t bake very often.

And you’re right...homemade cakes are much better!

I’m so sorry! But I wish you a very merry Christmas! You deserve the best of everything this wonderful season can give as, of course, does Bristol’s new born child.

And a very happy New Year as well!!!

I was born in December and have lived my whole life without ever having a birthday cake.

And I thought I was the only one that happened to.

I have always loved baking. This summer I had a once a week baking day with the kids from the neighboring farms. We baked cookies, cakes, brownies and pies. The kids all got to take home a goodie plate.

A lot of these kids have working moms and don’t live near their grandmothers, so I enjoyed spending the time with them.
