If Trump wins the nomination, prepare for the end of the conservative party (According to the bastion of Conservatism, George Will)
If you look beyond Donald Trumpâs comprehensive unpleasantness â is there a disagreeable human trait he does not have? â you might see this: He is a fundamentally sad figure. His compulsive boasting is evidence of insecurity. His unassuageable neediness suggests an aching hunger for othersâ approval to ratify his self-admiration. His incessant announcements of his self-esteem indicate that he is not self-persuaded. Now, panting with a puppyâs insatiable eagerness to be petted, Trump has reveled in the approval of Vladimir Putin, murderer and war criminal.
Putin slyly stirred Americaâs politics by saying Trump is âvery .â.â. talented,â adding that he welcomed Trumpâs promise of âcloser, deeper relations,â whatever that might mean, with Russia. Trump announced himself flattered to be âso nicely complimentedâ by a âhighly respectedâ man: âWhen people call you brilliant, itâs always good.â When MSNBCâs Joe Scarborough said Putin âkills journalists, political opponents and invades countries,â Trump replied that âat least heâs a leader.â Besides, Trump breezily asserted, âI think our country does plenty of killing also.â Two days later, Trump, who rarely feigns judiciousness, said: âIt has not been proven that heâs killed reporters.â
Well. Perhaps the 56 journalists murdered were coincidental victims of amazingly random violence that the former KGB operativeâs police state is powerless to stop. It has, however, been âproven,â perhaps even to Trumpâs exacting standards, that Putin has dismembered Ukraine. (Counts one and two at the 1946 Nuremberg trials concerned conspiracy to wage, and waging, aggressive war.)

In fact, given the murderous barbaric heinous acts of cruelty perpetrated by ISIS and Obama's increasingly obvious reluctance to deal with them so long as they serve his purposes in Syria, I don't think George Will has any business accusing Donald Trump of cozying up to murderers. Trump is laying the foundation of peace. George Will and his ilk are undermining that foundation.
I suppose it's also worth mentioning that Will is hardly the unwavering voice of true conservatism and actually has a reputation of attacking and undermining conservatives. He attacked Newt Gingrich in 2011 and helped Romney secure the nomination. He attacked Sarah Palin 2007. he attacked Ann Coulter in 2013. He is also an atheist, is opposed to the death penalty, supports amnesty, and supports drug legalization.
Do the math.
There actually is a Conservative Party, IIRC.
Other than that — what the heck is he talking about?
Never trust a pompous ass with a bow tie. Uttering ‘conservative’ and his name in the same sentence is grammatical heresy.
Repost from yesterday.
“the bastion of Conservatism”??? Who’s, the Wapo’s? I always thought it was Limbaugh.
Evidence shows Conservatives have no real say in the agenda of the Republican party.
I didn’t think I would need a sarcasm tag for that one.
If Hillary wins, prepare for the end of the First Amendment.
I think we have a pretty big chip in the game this time around.
Geroge Will,s pro-abortion, pro-homosexual marriage Marxist version deserves to die.
Merry Christmas
Prepare for more than that.

When George Will says “Conservative”, he means “Chamber of Commerce Cheap Labor Express”.
And with a Jeb nomination, we get a continuance of the RINO party?
Drama much? Based on the last 7 years or more, what is the name of this fantasy "conservative party" he speaks of?
Why would Trump be the end of something that perhaps exists only in the mind and emotions of George.
The Republican party has long ago rejected its own voter base of conservatives. Bush was more interested in pleasing liberals than conservatives, even though liberals hated him. What senses does that make?
If we never have to hear from George Will again it will be worth it.
He and his pal over at national review have a blood feud going against Trump. Since Trump every once in a while launches a tirade against them and Krauthammer, perhaps it is working to deflect his attention away from those he is running against him which perhaps is their goal that is to draw fire away from the GOPe.
The end of conservatives. We’ve been hearing this since the beginning of time.
