Obama, the president who lost his voice (He would have lost WWII)
The Washington Post ^ | 11/30/2015 | Richard Cohen

Posted on 12/01/2015 10:10:12 AM PST by Beave Meister

The presidency has changed Barack Obama. His hair has gone gray, which is to be expected, and he looks older, which is also to be expected, but his eloquence has been replaced by petulance and he has lost the power to persuade, which is something of a surprise. You can speculate that if the Obama of today and not Winston Churchill had led Britain in World War II, the Old Vic theater would now be doing “Hamlet” in German.

The president has lost his voice, that is certain. The numbers say so. Obama has the approval of only 44 percent of the American people. During his time in office, Congress and much of the nation have gone Republican — statehouse after statehouse, governor after governor (soon to be 32) — an astounding feat when you consider that the GOP has become the Know-Nothing Party in all its meanings.

It’s not that Obama has lost his gift of eloquence. His problem is that he often has nothing to say. When he does, as after the mass murder in June at a Charleston, S.C., church, he can be moving and eloquent. It is on foreign policy particularly where he goes empty and cold. His policy, after all, is to avoid yet another Middle East quagmire. It entails the ringing call to do as little as possible.

But does he have nice creases in his slacks? That’s where it’s at!

Sounds like Richard wants his class ring and records back.

“Obama has the approval of only 44 percent of the American people.”

It’s both staggering and dismaying that 44 percent of Americans are completely out of their minds and have the IQ of an average turnip.

Gee, if this keeps up, Obama is gonna have a hard time getting elected to a third term.

I'm completely astonished that the figure is over 25%.

Oh and by the way, the legal representative of the American Turnip Growers Assoc. is here to serve you with a defamation suit. The turnips are deeply offended.

Everyone thinks that Obama is somehow looking out for America, but that he is just doing a horrible job at it.

But, think for a moment. What if his prime motivation is not to be a good president, however he terms that, but instead is working to place us into a marxist utopia from which there will be no mistake?

Everything he has done has been toward that one goal.

Look at all of his actions. He has loaded us with debt, worked to make us even more dependent on government, and has managed to change our "history."

Obama "losing his voice" is really him speaking a whole nuther language.

More like the rumblings of the infernal one.

Mr Cohen has failed to recognize that Obola's numbers are down because those who voted for him have finally looked beyond his skin color and have stared to examine the content of his character.

That settles it then, it’s all over. Can’t wrap my mind around the fact this is from Richard Cohen.

“and he has lost the power to persuade, which is something of a surprise. “

Bwahahaha. That UNEXPECTED moment when a grifter loses the ability to persuade the gullible.

When an American president goes to an overseas capital what was the site of a mass murder just two weeks ago, and states that only in America could such things happen...no amount of spinning can cover the fact that he is a very, very stupid man.

When has Obama had the power to persuade? From the beginning he has been preaching to the choir—he gets applause from those who already agreed with him on the topic in question, but how often has he persuaded someone who originally thought the opposite to come over to his way of thinking?

Must have been awfully hard for uber-liberal Richard Cohen to write this devastating critique of Obama after cheering him on for almost 8 years.

It has nothing to do with IQ. It’s an addiction and dependency on a govt bureaucrat for survival. The 44% are govt workers, retired workers, SSI recipients, welfare queens, SNAP recipients, inner city “folks” that are given money to keep up the pressure on the system, etc. A small percentage are stupid but the rest are no less addicted to federal money than the nearest heroin addict is addicted to opiates.
