Am I the only one who is really put off by the pardoning of the turkey and really, really wants a President who would kill, dress and eat the stupid bird?

If I was trying to get the White House attention
I would release sows and pigletts behind the White Hut fence.
But I wouldn't wish that on the Muslim-in Chef !

When I see a turkey pardoned, I think, “30+ pounds of protein-packed sustenance... gone to waste.”

“The tradition of “pardoning” White House turkeys has been traced to President Abraham Lincoln’s 1863 clemency to a turkey”
Hmmmm... maybe that’s what REALLY set JW Booth off...

A President Palin would field dress it on national TV while the First Dude fired up the barbecue

Having been authorized to issue Presidential pardons for turkeys on Thanksgiving, Obama appears to have the power over life and death and his being a one-man death panel.

Other presidents have pardoned turkeys, but Bush 41 made it the official tradition it is today. However, the Thanksgiving turkeys are bred to be so big and fat that they really don’t live very long, so it’s just symbolism over substance.

I always wondered what the turkey is supposed to be guilty of that it would require pardoning... failure to pay to play, or are the charges just trumped up, as Democrats are wont to do, in order to offer an excuse for a somewhat safe no-questions press conference? Hmmmm.

The turkey must have shot down a Russian jet so he needed a pardon.

What you need is a little Sarah Palin.
