A webcast of an all-star marathon event about climate change and hosted by Al Gore was suspended mid-broadcast after the deadly attacks in the French capital Friday night.
Gore's '24 Hours of Reality and Live Earth' webcast launched from the foot of the Eiffel Tower just hours before the capital was rocked by horrifying attacks that killed more than 150 people on Friday.
A reported 118 people were killed during a rock concert at the Bataclan theatre, with more murdered at a restaurant and outside the State de France sports stadium.
'Out of solidarity with the French people and the City of Paris, we have decided to suspend our broadcast of 24 Hours of Reality and Live Earth, a read a statement on the concert's website.
'Our thoughts are with all who have been affected and the entire nation of France. We send our condolences to the families of those who have been killed or injured.'
Gore was hosting the 24-hour live webcast to raise awareness about global warming weeks before world leaders gather for the COP 21 Paris Climate summit on November 30.

Al, don’t let the terrorists stop you. There is no threat of greater severity. You must bring awareness to this. There is limited time before the Earth gets too hot and the oceans too high.

Why do these stupid leftists insist on chasing something imaginary like global warming and deny something real like islamic terrorism?
The moslems have probably seen the crowd size at an Al Gore event before, and realized it was too small. Probably more Secret Service agents than true believers, anyway. Or does Al avoid armed escorts?
Algore is a charlatan.
Even terrorists are now ignoring AlGore.
Gore didn’t “suspend” it, the French Govt told him to shut it down.
Of course but it does seem every time and everywhere Al has a global warming conference, something happens to disrupt it; snow storm, terrorism, disinterest.
I guess his chakra has expired.
Well .. I’m not surprised .. his brain checked out years ago.
