On Nov. 10, Bill Nye will release a new book titled “Unstoppable.†As only Bill Nye can, he uses the book to explain the science behind climate change, debunks popular myths, and asks readers to take action in their own lives to create a sustainable future. The book is shot through with optimism, but Nye has no illusions about what lies ahead. The message is simple: Climate change is real; humans are causing it; and we have no choice but to build a better and cleaner world.
Salon spoke with Nye about his new book and about his broader intentions. We asked him what he thought about climate deniers and the persistent anti-science demagoguery around this issue. Our conversation is below and has been edited for clarity and length.
So why did you write this book? Why now? And what’s your central message?
My goal is to change the world! Really, that’s what I’m trying to do. Obviously, this book isn’t going to change the world, but it is part of the bigger idea that we all have to think optimistically about this. We’ve got to go into this knowing we have a hard challenge but that we’re going to win this fight, and we’re going to save the earth for humanity.

Actually, a mechanical engineer with a background and emphasis in thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and diffusion processes (vs. say materials or machine design) is very well equipped to analyze the physical processes at the heart of weather and climate. Much more so than many of the hacks that sign the IPCC reports.
And all the sudden has become an expert research climatologist. Amazing guy!!!!! /s

Hey, Bill! Guess what? The climate has been changing even before man was ever on Earth!
Guess what else? Man can’t, I repeat, CAN’T control the climate no matter what he does! Man is not bigger than nature. Nature can squish us like a bug if it wants to and it has nothing to do with SUVs or anything else that is CO2-related.
The religion of hating humans. The left is so good at it.
That said, I think Nye is a shill for a bunch of alarmist nonsense that has been pushed for power, money and control.
I was channel surfing yesterday morning and came across Bill Nye lecturing a grade school group of children on how coral reefs are dying due to humans causing climate change. He should be charged with child abuse.

He lobbies for the friends and connections that made him rich and famous.
Bill Nye knows nothing about science.
The evidence does not support the Warmist cult’s alarmist worldview. If Nye read actual scientists, he’d know that.
Most climate “scientists” ignore the 11year solar cycles.... how scientific.
