Ben Carson Doubts Donald Trump's Temperament to be Commander In Chief
Washinton Times ^ | 11/7/2015 | S.A. Miller

Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson on Sunday said he would not want someone such as Donald Trump to be commander in chief.

Mr. Carson said Mr. Trump, the front runner for the GOP presidential nomination, acted rashly last week when he immediately gave credence to news reports that Mr. Carson had fabricated parts of his life story as told in the book 'Gifted Hands,' which chronicled his rise from severe poverty in a Detroit ghetto to become an acclaimed neurosurgeon.

Mr. Trump tweeted that the reports exposed 'one of many lies' by Mr. Carson and called it the 'beginning of the end' of the Carson campaign.

'What does it say about people who immediately jump on the bandwagon when they hear something bad rather than waiting and finding out what the truth is?' Carson asked.

'Let me put it this way,' Mr. Carson said. 'I would not be anxious to have a commander in chief who acted that way.'

Mr. Carson has remained Mr. Trumps closest rival in the polls for weeks.

The news reports raised questions about Mr. Carsons claims that he was offered a scholarship to West Point and whether he tried to stab a classmate in a schoolyard brawl. Mr. Carson has fiercely defended all of the details of his life story.

Mr. Trump, who followed Mr. Carson on the show, said that the stories of violence from Mr. Carsons childhood were disturbing, whether true or fabricated.

'Look, I hope it all works out for him. Its a strange situation, though, when you talk about hitting your mother in the head with a hammer and hitting your friend in the face with a padlock, when you talk about stabbing somebody but the [belt buckle] saved them,' Mr. Trump said.

Bottom line: Trump/Cruz ticket is the only way WE are going to win this election....if you vote any other way you are going to reap what you sow...

We need STRONG leadership right now, we need someone in there that can get things thru the House and Senate (Cruz's job as V.P.) and we need Trump to deal with Iran, Russia, Mexico, Japan, China and all the others...

obuma has made such a laughing stock of America it's disgraceful...and we need to break the backbone of the GOPe, the RINOs, the media, and the Clinton Crime Family and the Bushes, who want NWO...

Cruz can help and work and then go to the Supreme Court in the second term, Trump can pick a new V.P. to continue on after another 4 years...8 years of a ‘kick ass’ powerhouse to get America back to the respect that She deserves...

With Cruz in the Supreme Court, we won't have another mess like the obumacare, and gay pride crap....and our America will have the strength in the proper place that She needs...

And I don't want a commander in chief who was against sending the military into Afghanistan to take out Al Qaeda after 9/11. Carson thought we should keep negotiating with the Taliban instead.

You can’t read Trump or Carson heart. Best to leave those type of judgments to God. God has used to righteous and the less willing to do His will.

My concern with Trump is that his worldview generally excludes God.

This is very important but not enough see it (or care). Trump is his own god, in a way, or money is his god, etc. This country is in way too big of a mess to think that Trump could do anything about it without God.

I consider him our modern day King Saul myself, although Nebuchadnezzar I suppose works as well.

I’ll say over and over again I’m not supporting Carson. That ship has sailed, or should have sailed for anyone looking for a conservative candidate, and one who wouldn’t be hopelessly in over his head.

But that still doesn’t negate the fact that Carson DOES have a point here. Trump, who supposedly is thrashing the media senseless, sure is quick to jump on their narrative when it potentially benefits him.

I see and sense in Trump what ultimately did in Saul- impatience and impetuousness. I’m not saying Trump would nuke someone who made him upset. But I can see his temper and those qualities I mentioned getting him, and us, in trouble somewhere along the way.

I asked this yesterday. There are people who follow Trump on Twitter. I don’t even HAVE or bother with a Twitter account. While Hillary is out there talking about a $12 minimum wage, potentially higher, or encouraging higher in individual communities, did Trump find the time to tweet out something about that? Or was his criticism reserved for Ben, Jeb, and probably Rubio?

That's what I keep sayin' ... and WHY I've predicted that Ben Carson will be polling single digits by Christmas 2015 ...

Nice guy ... but certainly a lousy "Conservative" ...

The thought just occurred to me, if the GOPe-Bush-Rubio-Kasisch-RINO-Hillary crowd wanted to "coerce-shame" the Republican Conservative candidates (Ted, Cruz, Donald Trump) ...

to support:

1) Citizenship for 15 million illegal Mexican immigrants

2) Soft on Second Amendment gun rights

3) Becoming "best friends" with Al Sharpton and the Black Lives Matter movement

4) Puerto Rico statehood (two automatic Democratic Senators for the next 100 years)

5) SPLIT the Tea Party Christian Evangelical vote 35/35/35 between Ted Cruz / Huckabee / Ben Carson

6) "Stealth Engagement" of the Democratic Party LGBT folks to "severely disrupt" the GOP Presidential Primaries to HELP Yeb Bush and Marco Rubio

... what better way than to "plant-fund" and inflate polling data for a WONDERFUL ...

(no criticism allowed) Black Medical Doctor (with a very big ego) ?

Would such a plan even be imagined ? "Nope"

Would such a plan even be possible ? "Nope"

Would such a plan even be planned and executed ? "Nope"

Would such a plan include a Hollywood Movie ("Gifted Hands") promoting (years in advance) the "compassionate Savior" of the Republican Party ? "Nope"

/sarcasm-off

Trump needs someone to reign him in Constitutionally. Cruz surely could do that!

I don’t see Trump as a conservative. Right now he is playing to the base, but overall he really is a bit of a RINO.

Cruz could temper that as well as the more knee-jerk reactions of a business man. Sometimes they are all bluster with immediate reactions, but most good businessmen seek good advice on major moves.

Just ask yourself who would you rather have dealing with Russia, ISIS and China

Cruz.

Definitely not Trump or Carson.

And remember Trump wouldn’t be where he is in life if he wasn’t smart and knew what he was doing...I certainly would want him talking to foreign leaders than Carson, Hillary or any of the others....

I don’t know who that black guy behind Carson is but it looks like he just got showering at a luxury hotel and is wearing one of their fluffy white robes.

Where do you come up with this stuff?

Trump is the one who's saying ISIS is pure evil, medieval in their behavior. He's saying that all civilized nations have to work together to destroy them. What's more religious than describing the need to destroy ISIS as good vs evil? Who else is putting it in moral instead of political terms?

People sometimes say this and it legitimately mystifies me. Sure, Cruz won’t vote for those things. But Kagan will. Sotamayor will. I imagine at that point admittedly Ginsburg would be gone. Breyer and Kennedy likely would be as well. I mean they’re all 80-ish years old now. But then so is Scalia.

Bottom line is Cruz would be one justice on that bench. And he, and Clarence Thomas who could still be around, and Alito could still lose some 5-4 or 6-3 votes.

I know a lot of people think a “President Trump” would hopefully nominate good justices. One would have to think they’d be better than Hillary. But then again, candidate Trump thinks his sister would be great on that bench. So there is that.

No that is not at all what I meant to imply.

But, Trump has admitted to cowtowing to liberals to get things done. Trump plays the card both ways.

Or perhaps....when in Rome do as the Romans do.
