Donald Trump wasted his time associating with Schmutz Night Live
Youtube.com ^ | 11/8/15 | Me, myself, & I

I just watched most of the Donald Trump SNL stint on Youtube while doing other things. I wanted to see what the hype was all about. All I gotta say is, "Where is the eye bleach????"

Now I know that throwing out my TV set almost 40 years ago was the right thing to do. It is frightening to contemplate that most people spend many hours of their day watching stupid filth on TV. And even more frightening to contemplate that what they see on this portal from the city sewers forms the basis for most of their opinions.

This SNL show was so nauseating and just such plain dirt that I had to wonder why Donald Trump would associate himself with this nonstop pageant of brainless excrement.

Does anyone have a clue as to why Donald Trump would so lower himself by hosting this inane garbage? I sincerely hope he took a long hot shower and used plenty of soap after taping, lest he bring home any hitchhiker particles of fecal material from the set.

I watched the 10 PM Rerun of Chevy's last SNL appearance last night.

The hatred of then President Ford was much more than I remember. It was downright nasty with no subtlety whatsoever.

I'm beginning to think that outside of a few favorite bits, Belushi's Samurai for instance, my younger mind was very forgiving. Granted, it was a new medium at the time.

Nowadays, a lot but not all of the material is boring and unfunny. Either I'm getting old or it just plain sucks.

That being said, I enjoyed Trump's turn as a Host. At least they didn't Jerry Ford him.

“People posting on Twitter about how great the episode is must be getting paid.”

They are probably very young, you probably are not, lol.

I would say that the “artist” is likely very familiar with powerful hallucinogenic drugs.

"Post a disclaimer please at the top of any threads you make comments about Donald Trump on, stating that you hate Donald Trump’s guts, and then proceed with your vitriol. That way Freepers will all know exactly where you are coming from."

If stating facts equates to "hate" in your book, maybe you're a little too emotionally involved.

That’s about the last time I watched it. Can’t stand morons who obey the “laugh” and “applause’ signs.

That was a weird performance art singer and group. Actually I couldn’t stop watching it. I became mesmerized by it, lol. She has a really good voice though.

I bailed halfway through the “Bad Girls” sketch.

It was some of the worst television I’ve ever had to suffer through. That cast has absolutely nothing.

He will replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg and be promoted to CJ when the truth about Roberts comes out.

I would not want to see a natural leader like Cruz shunted off to the side on the Supreme Court. We have plenty of able jurists which he could appoint when he's in the Oval Office. But not all able jurists have his leadership ability.

He got me and a lot of other people to watch at least a little bit of the show.

That's real power.

P.S. It's weird not having Don Pardo announce the show.

Even weirder that he was doing it into his 90s.

He's been in the Senate long enough to have followers, if he were a leader.

Where’s the link on YouTube for this?

You can go directly to nbc.com and watch the whole show, or even skip over the stupid/nasty bits.

"The last time I enjoyed SNL, there were guys named Belushi, Akroyd, Murray.."

I think many of us here share that memory...hence the angst with the current show....our nostalgia is quite often met with disappointment when we try to compare.

I have watched at least part of every season since Season 1, Episode 1. You have to put up with a lot of filler to get to the good stuff, but that was true even in the early days, when the freshness of a then-new format made up for the dead spots.

There have been amazing players since the early days: Eddie Murphy, Mike Myers, Dana Carvey, Phil Hartman, Jon Lovitz, Billy Crystal, Dennis Miller, Jan Hooks, Chris Farley, Molly Shannon, Maya Rudolph, Martin Short, Will Ferrell, Darrell Hammond, Tracy Morgan, Chris Rock, Kristen Wiig, Jimmy Fallon, Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, Kenan Thompson -- all have been absolutely hilarious and have had careers beyond SNL. Even Julia Louis-Dreyfus was on SNL for one season, before she was in Seinfeld. I personally also loved Victoria Jackson, Cheri Oteri, Ana Gasteyer, Colin Quinn and Joe Piscopo, although they have not flown as high as the others since leaving the show. Yet.

Currently, Bobby Moynihan, Kate McKinnon and Jay Pharoah are comics who make me remember their skits and laugh at odd times during the week.

The short tenure of some of the biggest names is amazing; for instance, Billy Crystal was only one for about one year. Love it or not, that show makes stars.

I have to admit, though, watching "Tax Man" Trump dance was pretty frikking funny.

He sang, too! Who knew?

There were two shows.

Ah, now I understand. I taped the wrong one. Oh well. Thanks.

Cruz said he would like to do the show too.

It could probably help him quite a bit.

NO, the Trump stuff was funny because they had material to parody. The best comedy uses real life.

The rest kind of sucked as usual.

That sheepdog person, well, I wondered what that was.
