Governor Mike Huckabee came on the show today and he was funny as hell. Also pretty willing to throw out some jabs.
VIDEO AT LINK:
Here's something important to note. I like Gov. Huckabee as a person, but just because he's been on my show, this doesn't mean I'm endorsing him as candidate. What is true however, is that I've extended invitations to nearly everyone in the current GOP field, with the conditions that they are given no topic prep, that they use no talking points, and that the interview is long-form.
Only two people were brave enough to agree thus far. Carly Fiorina, and Governor Mike Huckabee. That, I respect.
We talk about the debates, of course, and how Huckabee thought he faired. Of course the absolute HATCHET job of CNBC at this debate was covered. Huckabee let's us in on some inside baseball for the debates. Spoiler alert: CNBC is a bunch of liberal turd-nuggets.
Some other topics we hit:
RNC needs to get on this debate stuff a bit more seriously That time CNBC jumped the shark and asked Carson about Costco and all the gayness Huckabee admits to drinking Starbucks coffee. Let's not hold that against him Challenges faced by Christian conservatives in this election cycle Diversity (well, lackthereof) in the Democrat party and how they're all old fogies And how much the Republicans should stop being such wimps (which we've written about extensively)
He has such a great sense of humor, he could pass as an intelligent NYer. (As opposed to the many unintelligent NYers.)
Haha I see what you did there.
MIke could charm a cobra. Even if he isn’t your candidate, nobody can say that Huck isn’t gifted with gab. The guy is a genius of speech.
So, I get it. LOL
A more thorough discussion/analysis of the current state of the art of the on line commentary business would be interesting. ( Though I won't call in angry if you don't cover it next week.)
Beg pardon?
Remember the 10’s of thousand$ discussion this morning? Angry Dave?
Ooooh the plagiarism?
Well I don’t think FREEPERS have plagiarized my stuff. I’m talking specifically about other sites that run ads on their sites, and simply copy paste entire columns, or plagiarize louderwithcrowder.com without credit.
I mean listen, we provide everything for free. We just ask that people don’t be thieving pieces of crap. Unfortunately, many of the “top” Conservatives are. :(
one thing I’m impressed with is that he’s good off the cuff- not a lot of canned answers/talking points- He thinkso n his feet- and his blimp comparison in debate was wicked funny-
I confess, I was impressed by Huckabee, not that I’ll be voting for him, I’ve been for Ted Cruz all along and will remain so. One of the best interviews I’ve seen anywhere. Maybe it was because of the light hearted sense of humor of both the the interviewer and the interview-e.
Huckabee is good ally for us on the right. In every debate, he adds considerable to picture of what conservatives overall stand for.
Christian Marshal law- Sounds great- lol - might be what’s needed to get this country working again- We tried following the evil one this past 7 years- and that aint working out such well
Huckabee seems like a reasonably nice guy, but his record on govt. spending while governor of AR is not so good. I don’t know very much about his foreign policy views.
should probably be a Cruz/president huckabee/VP ticket
I wouldn’t be opposed...I would be if it was reversed.

I’ve always liked Huckabee, but as with several others I also like, I don’t think he’s the president we need. My choices are down to two. Trump and Cruz.
Huckabee is good, intelligent, good principles, and definitely has a sense of humor. He’s made a very good comment or two in each debate, the wisecrack about wearing a Trump tie was a good example.
While I’m at it, consider a good rant some time on the ad nauseum use of all the latest politically correct catch phrases, especially “boots on the ground”.
I just emailed several people on Fox and gave them a piece of my mind. With Iraq in the forefront of the news stories, I’m hearing that phrase every 5 minutes and I consider it an insulting and derogatory method of referring to our military troops, who happen to be human beings, and 99% of the media seem to have forgotten that. I’d like to see them go to the funeral of one of our fallen military members and tell his or her family their offspring is one less pair of boots. Yes, I told Fox that too.
Start publicizing it. this is only one of several politically correct catch phrases I”m totally sick of hearing...
At the end of the day
Moving forward (totally sick of that one)
reaching out (what happened to contacted? Called? Wrote? Got in touch with?)
Start calling them out. I am. I won’t quit emailing them until I see results. I also informed them I consider it a mark of laziness, too lazy to utilize a few brain cells and think up something else, and if they can’t do better than that they wouldn’t make a pimple on a journalist’s butt. Yes, I said that too.
I like Gov. Huckabee and said so during our debate threads.
The problem he will have is Hope, AR and the GOPe.
Otherwise, he is good, smart man.
Entertaining interview. But not Huckster, even though he is smooth and funny.
He’s easily race baited with the promise of the “black vote”. (Like a Republican is ever going to get the black vote by using the power of the Gov. to release some repeat offenders from jail.) I think he thinks he’s Jesus - willing and able to forgive sin. Forgitabout the victims. Huckster is not Jesus.
His record on pardons to killers is clear though.
