I've had my user name for long time, going back to when GW Bush was running fro president. I've been an active user but no longer want to be associated with that username for obvious reasons. Is it possible to change it to something new without losing my history or being seen as a newcomer?
Is your computer turned on?
Just ask the Admin Moderator. I’ve seen it done many times.
you should email Jim. He’s the boss. As far as not wanting to be thought of as new just put in your tagline what happened.
no
Ha-ha! The shifting sands of time strike again.
Don’t know the answer newbie, but after 15 years just tell folks it’s a different kind of Bush.
Yes you can. Just ask the boss.
You must be able to. I see brand new names here all the time who’s sign up date often go back more than ten years.
You can hope for change!
Getting an FR username is somewhat like getting a tattoo ... what sounds or looks good when you get the tattoo is something that, in later life, you’d rather not have other folks notice. I understand your situation.
Hopefully, you’ve learned your lesson about praising politicians with a username.
Okay, I didn’t think about that’s a rainbow colored time. Didn’t mean to queer this thread.

I know how you feel, my previous username was ArlenSpecterRocks and well, look how that turned out...
I didn’t like what he said about Cruz either!

Or say you meant to enter PaForBusch (the beer) but accidentally left out the ‘c’ in your hurry to register on FreeRepublic. I don’t know if anyone would actually believe you, but it may give them a chuckle.
Hahahahahahahahaha
I can fully understand your concern. I was never a GWB fan and can say with honesty I never voted for him. Please believe me I’m not casting up sand in your face. Things change and so do politics. Being able to adjust and modify beliefs is important. I voted third Party as a Constitutional Conservative, and not for some dynastic Texan corporatist.
My conservative golfing buddies, and we mostly agree on politics except about the Iraq War and GWB. Look at it this way you could have the ID “Miss Me Yet”? They used to rub that slogan in my face for a while, and I said no I don’t miss him yet and never will. We still need a conservative and not a globalist corporatist with a mission to open our borders and sell out sovereignty. Both Parties are there to serve the few....and not the country.
