Seems like this was written to cement my determination NOT to vote for Trump. You don’t win votes by insulting people... that never works.

Shut the hell up, ya fat balding pervert.

And vote the way we tell you to.

You need to bring back Rage Monkey!

Me thinks he is going with Reverse Psychology Strategry Monkey instead.

but you left off the most truthful one: he’s a freakin’ lib and has spent his life being against everything conservatives have fought for for the last 50 years.

yep, you totally left that one out...

Ted Cruz is also a very good choice, but he just doesn't seem to quite light people on fire like Trump does.

I seem to remember another executive that was able to light people on fire and was very concerned with making his country great and loved real estate development. His name was emperor Nero.

I'll stick with liberty. I prefer not to be a human candle stick so that the elites can glorify themselves. Commie, not so much, I prefer the Constitution and limits on government power rather than just give more power to yet another egotist.

I agree, but I’ve had the reverse here with all the “concern” Freepers who used any and every plaint and trick to try and not have someone say “I’m not going to vote for this or that Republican nominee - I just won’t vote.” According to them, we had to vote for the Second-Most Evil person because it would take a little bit longer for this country to fall.

I’ve heard them all, but I always ended up voting for the nominee. This year I WILL NOT if it is not Cruz or Trump. Just not gonna do it.

You don’t have to vote for Trump and I won’t try to make you. But I know there is something ‘there’ there with him reflected in his numbers that indicate more people are like me with respect to establishment Republicans and politicians in general. We’ve had it.

"You don’t win votes by insulting people... that never works."

It is true that there is a time for civil discourse. But when half the world is trying to kill you and your family, and half of your own country is trying its damndest to enable the half of the world that is trying to kill you and your family, then civil discourse must be set aside and the rifle must be taken up.

And besides: we have seen what the GOPe's "civil discourse" looks like. It looks like unconditional surrender.

So to you and the GOPe I say: "F*ck civil discourse. I'm getting my rifle."

the only way I could conceive of voting for Trump would be if he named Cruz his VP and promised to fall over dead or resign the day after the inauguration.

I Completely agree.
Trump has a strong background of very disturbing alliances with liberals and agreeing with their positions.
He throws red meat to conservatives, and serves as America’s political reality show attention whore, in much the same way Pert did 23 years ago.

Cruz is the best adult in the room hope this country has.

RE: “I don’t care for Trump. I think Cruz would make a much better president. And if that makes me a commie in your eyes then so be it.”

I agree mostly

He’s sure not a doctrinaire right winger like most of we

But he fights and doesn’t apologize and doubles down

Look at the women in his life and his kids and his love for his dad

He’s like the rest of us imperfect

His kids so far show signs of being raised

I never thought I’d support him and I’ve followed him since the Grand Central project when I lived in Noo Yoik

I like Ted Cruz, but Trump has a better shot.

So, don't be a commie.

You don't want to be a commie.

I like Ted too.

But Ted won't get the nomination.

And at that point, you will have to ask yourself:

Am I a commie?
