She is royally screwed
Woolworth’s went out of business, didn’t they, along with JJ Newberry, Grant’s, Kresge’s and other dime stores??? Are any still around????
It was not clear if the woman, who has a license to carry a concealed weapon, would face any charges for taking the law into her own hands.
Looks like she was gubmint approved.
Lets hope they don't blow this up and use it against armed citizens who have a feakin brain!
Interesting in light of the thread on Bloggers about blaming women for the collapse of Western civilization.
When men abdicate their role of protector and provider, this is what you get.
Am really surprised by some of the comments on this thread.
Must be some frustrated and fed up people here making these comments.
I think they are still in Australia or were several years ago when I was there.
I think first jobs are supposed to be unpleasant.
That way you get motivated to better yourself so you can get a good job :)
Time spent at the range makes one appreciate the deadly force of a weapon even more. I would hate to have to be in a position to use a gun and can’t imagine what it would be like to have to kill someone.
I’m frustrated and fed up too but I’m not going to let that put me in prison.
I’d need a lot better reason than a shoplifter.
I think they’ve basically been replaced by “dollar stores” (where things usually cost more than a dollar now anyway).
I blame inflation!
If she was, I’ll bet it is pulled after this.
Dittos to both your comments
Western Auto is another one that I miss. Simpler times.
Yep. I remember Western Auto.
A piece of nostalgia on this thread. I remember Kinney shoes, Robert Hall clothes, Howard Johnson restaurants, Flying A gas stations, Cities Service gas stations, A & P supermarkets...........and the list goes on.
Me too. I sold goldfish and hardware.
I loved Woolworth’s as a child.
Arrest her.
She was wrong, but only she was. Her actions don’t represent me or any other gun owner.
You are correct—shoplifting is not a shooting offense—it’s a police matter.
If she had actually maimed or killed the shop lifter, she would probably at least been handed down a life sentence—as well she should have.
That's my favorite "O Brother Where Art Though?" movie reference. Made me laugh out loud HARD! :-)
