A guys gets up close and personal with a HUGE brown bear under his buddys back deck. Kudos to him for handling the situation without having to put the bear down!

I’ve seen three bear this year. A huge grizzly in March. He was running on the ice on the river. One was on our back trail from the house. It dashed across. Looked like a grizzly but might have been a cinnamon as I didn’t see him very long. Then we had a big black bear going along my drive. He wasn’t in any hurry to leave.

There are no “Brown” bears in Lake Tahoe. What you see is a light fur black bear. They aren’t very aggressive and unless totally cornered with cubs will run.

There are no “Brown” bears in Lake Tahoe. What you see is a light fur black bear. You're right, that's a light colored Black Bear. Had a couple of them run right next to me while fishing a few years back. Glad they weren't the least bit interested in me.
