There’s nothing necessarily wrong with children learning about Islam. But learning about Islam to the exclusion of Christianity, and that Allah is the same God worshipped by Jews and Christians, has a lot of parents angry.
Several Walton County parents say their children are being forced to learn about Islam, and want the option to exclude their children from these lessons.
The teaching of Islam has banded together a group of upset parents.
“My daughter had to learn the Shiad, and the five pillars of Islam, which is what you learn to convert, but they never once learned anything about the Ten Commandments or anything about God,” said parent Michelle King.
Parent Steven Alsup says what caught his attention was a statement on his child’s homework: “Allah is the same God worshipped by Jews and Christians.”
Alsup calls the statement a half-truth, and wants the lesson to include Islamists.
Allah is most definitely not the same God worshipped by Jews and Christians. And considering the violence and hatred towards Jews that many Muslims perpetrate, it’s especially insulting to say so.
BTW, I am not Catholic, it was just one example I pointed to, to refute the one name for God statement that had been offered up.
The interesting point though is if there is but one God, which I believe to be the case, than Allah is the same God as that tee Jewish & Christian faiths worship. However, the Muslim teaching of God differs vastly from God's teachings by the Jewish & Christian faiths.
But the real argument needs to be why are all religions prohibited from being taught in public schools except the Muslim religion? If in fact separation of church and state is the justification of removing religion from public schools why is the Muslim religion exempt from this standing?
Maybe that Teacher should take a break and read the Koran.

My aunt taught 5th grade in public school. She told kids that all religions lead to the same place.
Because if they can get away with it in the Bible Belt - and they apparently are - they can get away with it anywhere.
NOTE: “They” in this context being those who support multi-culturalism (aka Marxism), deny the exceptionalism of the United States and mistakenly believe that all of the cultures of the world can unite under a single global government with subordinate regions without physical borders.
I don’t know why parents are shocked the communist school system has been teaching horrendous lies for decades.

So long as you are willing to sacrifice your children to the government so be it.
It was my number one priority for my children.
There are other alternatives besides homeschooling.
My concern is for my children’s spiritual well being. Government indoctrination camps are teaching against what I believe as a Christian. I will not subject my children to that from an authoritative position.
I live with my choices and you will live with your’s.

Technically, that is correct. There is only one God, and monotheistic religions by definition are worshipping the same God. However, the ROP concept of God is severely flawed, making their God an impossible being.
Christians used to be clear that Islam is, at best, a heretical religion. The muddle-headed educrats are just wrong when they say that Muslims worship the same God as Christians, but that’s just the kind of one-world crap they love to spout.
I am referring to the fact that in a nation of 325,000,000 people not all parents can homeschool. Many families that are lucky to have jobs need both parent incomes to survive. Putting food on the table and paying rent is their priority

She goes to class well prepared and up to date on facts about her religion and world affairs
Eventually your kids have to go out and be prepared to defend their beliefs

Government schools are supported by our taxes. We should have the right to demand that they stop teaching lies to our kids. Abolish the Dept. of Education and restore control of public schools to local communities.
