I hear you. My husband has type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I worry about him now, with all of the medications that he has access to.

Four out of ten isn’t bad, it’s Fatal. At least for me.

Once I hit #7 on the List, I knew I was Toast.

Me, too. Between the weight and arthritis I might as well just stand still and tell them to shoot.

The rule of 3s.

You can survive for three hours without shelter
You can survive for three days without water
You can survive for three weeks without food

If I had all those issues I’d talk to the doctor about naturopathic alternatives , if any, in case of a civil breakdown and loss of access to medical care

Buy clorox bleach. Put a few drops in your water to kill cholera. Problem solved.

I have a Sawyer mini which is good for certain instances but they don't take out chemical toxins. Good for rain water and spring water that you trust.

I'm relying on bucket set ups using Doulton and Aquacera ceramic candle filters.

I have a good spring close by plus rain water. Still plan to chlorinate and then filter.

Can't be to careful!

If you live in the northern climes No. 3 is a good chance. If you haven’t stockpiled fuel and live in populated areas spare wood will be gone pretty fast. In fact sticking it out in a populated area if the event lasts more than a few months is a low probability survival event.

I have carefully increased the inventory of my heart medication. Once I reached 18 months supply I then do a 90 day refill every 90 days and rotate of course.

I buy it at cash price at COSTCO or order from Canada & to hell with the insurance company limiting how much or how often I can refill.

I realize that because of cost many can’t do that. Mine isn’t too bad (knock on wood), About $165 for 3 month supply.

Way more expensive than lifestraw and won’t fit in the bugout bag
People got to think plan a ( shelter in place) and plan b ( leave, fast, with what you can carry)

A very thought provoking YouTube feature
“ The Day After Armageddon” about a suburban family that starts with plan a and has to go to plan b
