"Name another political party that tries to take out their leading candidate because he’s too popular?"

Yeah what he said. If anyone doubts that GOP and the Rats are in fact a team, the uniparty, this action should end the charade.

This GOP strategy is better known as a “scorched earth” strategy.

Ads that say the border shouldn’t be secured? That shipping factories to China is good for the country?

They'll follow the same play book as the libs do....if you can't get them with facts, make sh!t up.

You know, like pushing Granny off a cliff while she sitting in her wheelchair....or a little girl picking flowers in the field while a nuclear blast takes place behind her etc....

“The GOP establishment is very concerned with Donald Trump’s enduring appeal with conservative voters”

Perhaps if they actually courted those same voters and then governed in ways that supported how they campaigned Trump wouldn’t be an issue.

They aren’t know as the Stupid Party for no reason. The desperation within the Republican Party elite is amusing, and this will backfire on them badly. Say bye bye to the elites, their time is passing fast.

Well that’s good news. Maybe it will finally be the end of the RINO party. They’re sharpening the nails for their own coffins. And take Lindsey Graham with you.

Whether it is $2 billion or $3 billion or $10 billion, Trump is sitting on a large pile. If John Ellis Bush exhausted all of his Right to Rise Super PAC money, it certainly wouldn’t result in votes going to John Ellis Bush. Plus, the money would be all gone months before a single caucus!

Trump could spend less money than he would feel to match that and double return fire at can didates associated with the PACs, and the PACs themselves.

my very humble opinion: they will attack his lack of specificity.
i also believe it will have no effect. i think this could develop into a culture
war, the elites absolute worst nightmare. think- using the race card and it’s
declined for lack of funds.

isn’t this type of uniform coordination still illegal?

I thought it was and still is!

Midge/Bonehead & Co have spent MORE $$ running attack ads on Republicans, than they have against the Dems. What does that tell you?

In this election cycle, FR has become, by and large, an anti-GOP forum, rather than an anti-DEM one. It's going to very difficult to unify the GOP after the primary.

A lot of bacon to be had there if a butcher wants to take advantage of the opportunity. And the best part - the smell of bacon drives away the Muzzies.

Well that's stupid.

GOPe™ advertising wasn't successful against barryO for Juan McLame.
GOPe™ advertising wasn't successful against barryO for Romney

If this latest GOPe™ threat comes to pass, I suspect Trump will run 3rd party and the GOPe™ will seal its own fate.

It's going to very difficult to unify the GOP after the primary.

Last week during her OANN On-Point fill-in gig, Sarah Palin repeatedly and pointedly mentioned and re-emphasized the word "libertarian", FWIW.

Agreed. Given his current run, and understanding what’s driving it, the likely scenario here will be making Trump more popular.

But then consider this. A LOT of voters in the center and on the Left have been conditioned to HATE the Republican Party. Dismiss out of hand anything that comes out of it, go in the exact opposite direction. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

So this may not only help Trump in the primaries, it could help him in the general as well.

Good points. I don’t think the GOPe can lay a glove on him. He has already shown how to handle the ‘rats. Just ask Whore-hay “Igna” Ramos ....

Pictures and emotion work every time!

The opponents could put non-stop ads that Trump killed and ate 17 immigrants in Milwaukee (wait, that was someone else), with somber music and pictures of faces, and how do you get through to those millions of tender-hearted TV watchers who think that it's a terrible thing to kill and eat people? Their brain would be re-wired to remember "Trump ... bad ... Trump .. bad". Emotion always trumps reason. [no pun intended]

If you play with fire, you can only get burned. The Libs are at the the “F” Trump level now, they are exploding. After all, they feel Jeb is the Candidate for everyone. They want Jeb. The RNC want their status quo, protecting the golden goose of DC. You are not dealing with the intellectual voters, look what votes Democrat. The only intellectuals there are the Liberal voices that control the un-intellectual masses. You need someone with mass appeal who can speak over the voices of Liberal Propaganda Cabal. I believe that Trumps apparent honesty may be able to turn voters in his favor. You have a potential winner, and you want to spend a fortune to destroy him because ???? (To keep the golden goose comfortable?)
