Speaking to a crowd of more than 20,000 in Mobile, Alabama, Donald Trump had a confession to make: he may never eat Oreos again.

Trump, during his bid for the Republican presidential nomination, has been outspoken about his displeasure of American companies moving overseas to China and Mexico, and his sentiments were expressed in full once again during his campaign stop in Alabama Friday night.

“You know, Mexico is the new China,” Trump told the crowd, referencing the recent decision by Nabisco to move its factories there.

He doesn’t look like he needs to eat any more Oreos or any other kind of cookie, for that matter, ever again.

YUP...no nabisco in my house.
Oreos are disgusting anyway. Cheap fake chocolate flavor with white sugar sludge in between.

many grocery chains have “Oreo” imitators.

Who makes those? American bakers?

Look into the demise of the sugar cane industry in Hawaii. Happened when the unions moved in and insisted on wages so high it put the growers out of.business

When American companies are drive out of the country by ever-increasing taxes and regulations, the answer might be to look at and reduce our taxes and regulations. There used to be a time when companies in Europe and other high-tax nations tried to relocate to America.

I am afraid that is the 'ugly little secrete' cheer leader Trump ain't talking about..yet..I expect the unions and Trump do a lot of work/business together.

Oreos LEFT the US because the sugar tariff here is double what it is in the rest of the world. Perhaps Michelle O doesn’t want YOU AND ME to get fat like her?? I say we support Oreos for making a common sense decision. Lots of companies are going under with this ridiculous tariff, and the sooner the stupid government rescinds it, the better for the economy, the better for these businesses, the better for the tax-collectors. Why should they have to pay double? it’s a sin-tax. I support Oreos all the way.

Stop taxing it to death, indeed. Oreo is the victim here, imho, not the perp. They have good common sense and maybe just maybe they are not going to take it any more.

I side with them.

I always have mixed feelings when I hear that an American company has opened a new plant in Mexico hiring X-hundred workers. That means that X-hundred Mexicans have jobs in Mexico and no reason to come here.

If we want American companies to stay here we need to give them a reason to stay like lower taxes and fewer regulations.

Nabisco is free (for now) to produce their products anywhere they want.

I am free (for now) to choose to not purchase/consume said products.

Indeed they have, since much of his work has been in union dominated markets. He'd probably love to shaft them, as would most businessmen who've had to deal with them.

Hydrox is the brand name for a creme-filled chocolate sandwich cookie that debuted in 1908 and was manufactured by Sunshine (later Sunshine Biscuits).[1] The similar Oreo cookie—introduced later, in 1912—was inspired by the Hydrox, yet Hydrox was perceived as the knockoff.[2] Compared to Oreos, Hydrox cookies have a tangy, less-sweet filling and a crunchier cookie that gets less soggy in milk.
