"She got bit on the right leg. She said she felt it and she turned around and she could see the shark and she could see the fin flailing around," Dave Szarmack told the station.
The girl got out of the water and yelled to a friend to do the same, screaming about the shark. But that younger girl stayed put.
"So she turned around and went back and got the 6-year-old and took her out of the water. She pulled the little girl back out of the water," the father sai

Get well soon Kaley, you are certainly one brave little girl!
That’s one brave girl with a heart full of pure love.
Sign her up for the ranger program or at least for a police academy somewhere. I’ve told Mr. M that I’m a bit like that, I go to the danger. I’m not bragging. It’s a personality trait and not a particularly healthy one. It’s a bit like dogs. There are dogs that will chase a ball and those who could care less. I’ve had both. I prefer the “go to the ball” personality. They tend to be fiercely loyal.
Damn sharks scare me. I have a daughter who lives by beach on the Eastern Shore. I saw a special on TV and its true the shark attacks are increasing but no one has a clue as to why.
Might be coming in for food plus guys like to chum for them and hook into them for fun not to far of shore. Many of these places have fishing piers not far from the attacks
Beautiful child inside & out.
I’ve had a couple times where I acted seemingly without thinking - it’s like instinct takes over. Before you know it you’ve done this thing. Maybe it was like that for this girl.
The Fourth SealDeath
Rev 6:7 “When the Lamb broke the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, Come. 8 I looked, and behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following with him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth.”
Gonna get worse at some time. If only the liberal animal rights people knew that they were doing when they celebrate wild animals coming into town. I’m all for them being away from people. It’ll be sweet when [Isaiah 11:6]”the wolf will dwell with the lamb, And the leopard will lie down with the young goat, And the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little boy will lead them” but until then...Cecil needs to stay on the preservation.
Real heroism.
How many of us would have the stones to go back into the water, after being bitten, to save a friend?
“I saw a special on TV and its true the shark attacks are increasing but no one has a clue as to why”
We are not harvesting enough of them anymore .
Sure, I suppose these Dindu Nuffins from Ferguson qualify as "wild beasts"...
Are you two on the wrong thread or something? Neither of your posts apply to this thread.
Natural born hero.
I think the poster’s point in quoting scripture is that come End Days, all the animals (including sharks) will be at the command of Death and Hades to destroy the unsaved.
