Musician/actor and American Idol judge, Harry Connick Jr.'s daughter is accused of providing alcohol to underage guests at a party she hosted this past weekend at her family's New Canaan home while her parents were away, according to New Canaan police.
Georgia Connick, 19, faces charges of permitting minors to possess alcohol and procuring alcohol for minors, according to New Canaan police.
Someone called police just after 1 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15 to report underage drinking was going on at a party at the Connick family's West Road house in New Canaan. When police arrived, they discovered a lot of young people running from the home and trying to escape through the woods near the home, police said.
The "American Idol" judge's daughter told police that swarms of young people showed up at her house during what was initially intended to be a small gathering, according to New Canaan police.
There were several empty and partially empty beer cans at the home, police said they discovered.
Officers contacted the parents of 15 party guests between 18 and 20 years old who stayed at the house while police were on scene, New Canaan police said.
NBC Connecticut reached out to Harry Connick Jr.'s publicist for comment and left messages, but she couldn't be immediately reached. No contact information for the family was immediately available.

clearly ... today’s top national news story ... were baby lions or zebras on the bar-b-que involved ?
a great new ‘alins boy ...
Seriously. When is it national news that a 19 year old buys alcohol for her 17 year old friends? Slow news day — very slow news day.
Not allowing those 18 years of age and older to drink beer or wine is just ridiculous.
Teenagers drinking alcohol?? I’m shocked!
Thats because she has been found.
This is news? I’d be a criminal if I were a kid today and did the things that I did growing up.
THANK God - I can sleep again!!!
I made it a point to talk to the Dad about why it wasn't such a good idea. He told me that it was better to give teens alcohol in an adult supervised setting than let them go out and drink with friends, as if those were the only two options.
So I quietly collected my wife and daughter and told them we were leaving before anybody else started driving home. I probably should have called the cops on the idiot. Every other high school graduation party I attended was either no alcohol or served to adults only.
I know, crazy right? I mean, I never did anything like that when I was 19. Or at least I don’t think I did, I mean it’s all a bit fuzzy to me now.... Might have been a little fuzzy about it back then too.
Bad parenting
The oldest two are clones of their parents...Georgia looks exactly like her dad and the middle one looks just like mama.
They prob txt message their friends come over here, we got booze !
I think France and Belgium are 15 or 16. But you can’t drive until 18.
That might work fine for family and even extended family where they can be reasonably sure someone doesn’t have too many and isn’t driving home. Not a great idea otherwise.
