Tesla has given us a glimpse into the future, and it seems to involve somewhat creepy robotic arms that look like snakes. A newly-released video reveals the company's new charging prototype, which plugs itself in without an ounce of human assistance.
The video, released by Tesla on its Twitter and YouTube accounts, begins with the charger in an upright position. But after just a few seconds, the figure begins to move just like a snake and it's a little bit unsettling.
It lowers its body toward a Model S sedan, twisting itself in such a realistic way that you can't help but wonder if it might actually be alive.
The robot manages to find the charging socket, connecting itself with ease and proving that humans are, indeed, becoming more and more obsolete.

And so would her husband’s Euro buddies I’d imagine.
Imagine their disappointment.
That was funny, but it's too sexy, old hat, too... [8^')
LMAO.
Tesla should be ‘charged’ with obscenity.
Don’t let your children see that.
The car wants it.
The car NEEDS it.
It’s consensual ...
Can it tell the difference between the charger and oprah’s vajayjay?
Reminds me of an old science fiction short story about “justice machines”.
211 volts I’d guess.
oops. I misread. I read that as the difference in voltage ;)
Car-nal knowledge?
Thas Goooood. Thas REAL gooooood...;)

Shudder!
OH. . . I wish you hadn't said that. . .
What kind of funny gyrations take place if you move the car an inch or two while the probe is homing in? Scratch city on the fender?
I'm sure it will be shocking.
Ha!
