A Gravis Marketing poll released on July 31st confirms that Donald Trump has become the face of the Republican Party. Sure, party insiders and pundits are still trying to distance themselves from Trump’s toxic rhetoric, but much to their chagrin, Republican voters are embracing Trump’s politics of derision and division.

The Gravis Marketing poll found Trump surging to a huge lead in Iowa. Trump polled at 31 percent in the GOP field, followed by Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker at 15 percent, and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush at 10 percent. Several other Republican candidates were mired in the single digits.

“Trump is promising to build a real barrier to stop it.”

Would that be on a Tuesday? Because at other times of the week he ruminates about amnesty.

You need to ask Cruz what he thinks of Trump’s remarks. He is the one who said he likes Trump, and that Trump is terrific.

It’s unfortunate that my accurate Cruz quotes are upsetting to you. If I had cited Cruz inaccurately, then you could direct your wrath at me. But since Cruz really said what I quoted him as saying, you need to take your outraged interrogation to him.

Ask Ted Cruz. That is his quote about Trump, not mine.

A political commentary on the Fox News 2016 GOP Presidential Debates for next Thursday (August 6, 2015 @ 9:00 PM-EST).

======================================

The 2016 GOP Presidential Candidate field better get ready for a can of Donald Trump's "You're Fired !" ...

Why ?

The "conventional" MSM wisdom is that Trump entered the race on a whim ... and will simply continue his bombastic style at the first Fox News GOP Presidential Debate next Thursday.

That "conventional wisdom" a recipie for disaster for the other GOP Candidates.

Consider this.

Trump's new book will be released next Thursday (August 6, 2015) .... which means that Trump made the "presidential run decision" OVER A YEAR AGO ... to get a book written, edited and published in 365 days.

Indeed, Trump probably had to start the book project at least 18 months ago.

Fast forward to the "politically predictable" first GOP Presidential Debates on Fox News.

Trump has had between 12 and 18 months to secretly prepare for this game-changing debate.

Trump's opponents are all looking for "silver bullet" to nail Trump in the debate, to salvge their own struggling campaigns.

So how does Donald Trump prepare ?

Get 12-18 months of the BEST POSSIBLE briefings on foreign policy, military readiness, economic status, Common Core, Planned Parenthood, illegal immigration crime stats, ISIL, Israel, Export-Import bank, TPA-TTP ... the works ...

and if-when a John Kasich / Mike Huckabee / Marco Rubio type tries to nail Trump on a "technical question" ... Trump blasts them with both barrels with facts and statistics of his own ...

just like a "legitimate" U.S. Presidential Candidate is expected to.

Moreover, Trump has (probably) already secretly created a special campaign website (to be announced at the debate) with an easy simple-to-remember name like "AmericanVictory.org" (as an example).

Fifty million (50,000,000) GOP voter internet visits later ... Trump will have spelled-out (with pictures and quick two minute videos) his "detailed" approach to a dozen different national issues.

Trumps' GOP debate opponents have neither the brains, vision or MONEY to do all that ... except perhaps Ted Cruz.

Finally ... "Yeb Bush" is taken down by Trump with the simple question:

How can you call "immigration an act of love" when X,XXX Americans have been vrutally assaulted, raped, and murdered by illegal immigrants over the last XX years ?

Well ... again, just some personal observations and commentary for GOP political junkies out there.

======================================

Godspeed Ted Cruz and Donald Trump !

You can stop babbling. I’m not going to ask you again.

You know, it’s an interesting phenomenon I’ve observed. When conservatives decide to throw their support behind a zero-character liberal, they end up having to twist themselves into all kinds of knots to maintain that support. They have to toss their principles and, as we see here, perform all kinds of mental tricks to try and justify it to themselves.

They’ll even ignore and excuse blatantly wrong, immoral behavior, though their mothers raised them to know better.

In essence, to support their sleazebag, they become liberals themselves.

Good luck with that.

LOL - you guys have to be working for someone paying you to defame Donald Trump. You keep appearing throwing out lies and deceptive headlines, insulting anyone who supports Trump or likes his ideas.

He does not support amnesty, he is not a liberal, nor is he immoral or a sleazebag.

LOL.. you guys blindly supporting Trump fail to see his vascillation on the issue of amnesty. Of course, you’ll chalk it up to “just Trump doing business.”

He’s also firmly supportive of “universal health care” and the Kelo decision. What about those policy positions is “not liberal?”

Your post is a good description of your own behavior. In post after post you have been demanding that I answer for something I never said. Yet that is a liberal tactic. Throw out a quote, and then demand that a person who never spoke it or even thought it answer for it.

Conservatives believe in personal responsibility. Find something *I* said, then ASK (not demand) that I answer for it.

Or is that too hard for you to comprehend/do?

Ted Cruz isn’t voting for Trump. And you passed that statement as your own.

So the cop-out isn’t going to work.

The first part of your post is off topic.

As for the second part, I did not immediately identify Cruz’ quote as his for a reason. It is to illustrate how blindly in attack mode you people are. You took the bait, and tore into Cruz’ Trump comments with the usual aggression. Now, instead of gaining any insight from your blunder, you’re still seeking to attack me.

What on earth are you trying to accomplish? If you are trying to score points for Cruz, you are failing miserably.

31% here, and others in the 20’s elsewhere. Yet many are predicting this guy will just drop out. For the life of me, I cannot see Trump dropping out with this kind of support.

One of the best presidents in recent time followed one of the worst (Reagan following Carter). And now we have a complete disaster, not just the president, but his RINO accomplices boner and mccommie. If history repeats itself, Trump will win, win big, and keep his promise to make America great again.

Nothing would give me more satisfaction than seeing the GOPe gutted.

“What on earth are you trying to accomplish? If you are trying to score points for Cruz, you are failing miserably.”

Negative. I’m pointing out the hypocrisy of the arguments in support of Trump. He flips and flops more than a landed sea bass on the subject of amnesty and amazingly his fanboys and girls manage to overlook it all. And by the way, while you’re celebrating these apparently lofty polling numbers, you should also be aware your guy fares the worst of any GOPer against the dem candidates.

Glad to hear you are not trying to support Cruz. If you were, you would be failing.

As for the rest, I don’t engage with people who make as many assumptions as you do. It’s a waste of time.

I note your failure to address the fact Trump brings up the rear vs the dems. Not an assumption, sport.. it’s consistent across every single polling result.

Because your fundamental assumption invalidates it. And because it is impossible to have an intelligent conversation with someone who is so blind to their own presuppositions.
