It’s entirely possible.

I was projecting he’d be at 34% after the debate, but he’s almost there now.

I think the people with Donald Derangement Syndrome are going to come to the realization that he’s more conservative on a lot of issues than they thought, and his win-ability factor in the general election is really high.

Donald is a phenom and conservatives are so beleaguered by being burned by the losing Tea Party......they are so frustrated by the RNC/GOPe that they are taking Trump seriously.

I think they call it grasping at straws straw polls.

After all the disappointments, we've all been lead to believe you can only defeat big money with big money.

Keep in mind that Trump’s approach is very different than every single other candidate.

He is bidding for the presidency and selling people on his value.

All the others are lecturing us on their value as if we are idiots who need to be finger wagged and brow beaten. Given a choice people want value.

It beats hiding and apologising.

He’s a winner. Some folks would rather die on their sword while carrying their Bibles into the cattle cars.

Maybe, but I don’t see a tea party candidate with Trump’s abilities. It’s not his money for me, but his platform.

Cruz is a better social conservative, except Cruz doesn’t understand the economy. Trump has correctly identified the role international trade policy has played in the de-industrialization of America and our high unemployment.

IIRC Cruz wasn’t polling well against Walker and Bush prior to Trump’s entry.

Yes he is. I’m in the middle of reading “The America We Deserve.” The depth of his research and the common sense he wants to bring to government is amazing.

All being said, Trump knows the art of *selling the sizzle, not the steak*

He’s bringing a lot of steak to the table, regardless of how he sells it.

Trump polled at 31 percent in the GOP field, followed by Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker at 15 percent, and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush at 10 percent. Several other Republican candidates were mired in the single digits.

I have no problem with Trump doing well in the polls. But, what the heck is up with Cruz polling in single digits? Honestly, I think a lot of Cruz's support has shifted to Trump.

I brought up verifiable facts. The assumptions about Trump somehow emerging as a “conservative” are all yours. His background says otherwise. Sorry you can’t move beyond those wishful ideations and see the reality.

Your most fundamental fact in this exchange is absolutely, positively inverifiable.

There; I gave you a massive hint. I HATE giving people hints re something so basic and obvious that if they can’t figure it out, they have no business being in the conversation. But I gave you a whopper hint bc it is so painful watching you stagger around cluelessly in the dark.

Now, either put two and two together, and enumerate your ‘breakthrough’—or stop wasting my time.

"It beats hiding and apologising."

Just listen to what you're saying. No, treating a decent conservative woman like a tramp does not "beat" anything. Where's your sense of right and wrong? Are you willing to completely suppress it in order to support Trump?

Cruz doesn't know the meaning of "hide" or "apologize". He's strong without becoming a sleazebag.
