Bobby Jindal's executive order on the Westboro Baptist Church troubles the ACLU

The American Civil Liberties Union of Louisiana is concerned Gov. Bobby Jindal may disregard the constitutional rights of the Westboro Baptist Church with his latest executive order.

"Governor Jindal's Executive Order ... is misguided and has the potential to be used to infringe on protestors' First Amendment rights," said the ACLU in a statement Sunday morning.

Jindal issued an order Saturday mostly aimed at keeping the Westboro Baptist Church -- and presumably the vulgar "God Hates Fags" signs they usually carry -- away from the funerals of two Lafayette movie theater shootings victims.

"They come here to Louisiana. They try to disrupt these funerals. We're going to lock them up," said Jindal about the Westboro Baptist Church, during a Sunday morning appearance on "Face The Nation."

"They better not try that nonsense here," he added.

The church, with about a dozen members, organizes protests at high-profile funerals around the country. The ACLU finds the protests distasteful and sympathizes with Jindal's desire to protect the victims' loved ones, but says the group's right are protected by the First Amendment.

Louisiana already has a law on the books to protect loved ones and other funeral goers from such protests. Law enforcement is allowed to keep protesters 300 feet to 500 feet away from any funeral proceedings from two hours before the services start, until two hours after they conclude.

Honestly, im surprised someone burying the most important person in their life hasn’t already driven a powerstroke right through their protest.

More proof Westboro works for liberals. ACLU defends them but won’t defend the religious freedom of others, like the cake bakers.

Westboro is leftist, of course the ACLU likes them.

Maybe if they made Westboro bake cakes for homosexual weddings...

One could also rhetorically ask of the Westies, where were you when Barack Obama lit up the White House with a “gay rainbow”?

They never show up where they could be useful; they show up where they can work the maximum demoralization. They have aspired to be agents for Satan, not for God.

Well it so happens that now Rolling Thunder, the veteran biker association, turns out and gets between the Westies and the funeral. These guys and gals are heroes. Jindal ought to put in a pointed good word about them.

Where is this freaking Constitutional right to crap all over a private funeral?

America is DONE! America has taken the right to protect the decent and the weak, and turned it into a "right" to uphold the most vile, evil, sick, twisted behavior, and all the while, feeding the weakest among us to the Moloch.

Send your wrath, O God, on America, for she deserves the full measure, just as Sodom, Gomorrah, and Jerusalem did. Save your remnant, Lord, and let us rebuild after America's fall.

OMG! This is PURE liberal propaganda!! If one clicks on the "executive order" link it goes to a story with this headline -

Bobby Jindal will use existing law to keep Westboro Baptist Church protesters at bay

Excerpt:

Jindal said the Louisiana State Police plan to strictly enforce existing state law that prevents protesters from interfering with funerals, burials, wakes and other memorials.

So Jindal will enforce existing state law on Westboro?!! The ACLU needs to go after Hillary Clinton and Barack Hussein, not Bobby Jindal. And NOLA needs to report actual news and NOT make up their own.

Westboro Baptist Church is a front for the Southern Poverty Law Center, to paint conservatives in a bad light.

I don't fore see any problems. The locals can handle them.

The locals aren't running for president. Jindal is. Thus the need for the executive order.

But the ACLU has no trouble trying to shut up churches when it comes to gay marriage...

One of these days, I suspect the WBC Road Show will. . . disappear on its’ way to another protest. Vehicles, people, everything. No trace.

Because, sooner or later, they are going to piss off the wrong people. . .

You are onto something here.

The recent pastor who brought the church to where it is today, had a history of causing trouble at the two Christian colleges he attended when he was younger.

He then went on to support several Democratic candidates for various positions over a period of time, even as a “pastor.”

The same pastor also utilized and worked with the ACLU.

When one takes a look at the true communist origin and purpose of the ACLU, which includes the elimination of Christianity from American society, (as christianity was a road block to atheistic humanism at the heart communism), the stigma the church has helped to create regarding evangelical Christianity, cannot be a mere coincidence.

The irony is that the Westboro actions and strategy works to create hatred toward all those who recognize the real dangers and destruction being brought by the LBGT and socialist elites.

Westboro “Baptist Church” is an agent of the left wing of the Democrat party. That is of course not inconsistent with being an agent of Satan — I’m just being more specific.

While they post their intentions on their website, most of the time they never show up. It's all a ploy to get attention........

You ever notice how you always see WBC protesting conservative targets like soldiers’ and Amish girls’ funerals, but never at a friggin’ GAY PRIDE PARADE!

True, trying to pass as more mainstream Christian in order to gin up false flag outrage at the latter sounds just about their speed.

That’s why they call themselves “Baptist” which otherwise would probably be a blasphemy to whatever theology they are espousing.
