That used to be me, but the GOP burned their last bridge in ‘14 with what they pulled in MS. I started splitting my ballot that year and there hasn’t been a day since then that I’ve regretted it.

Have you decided on a candidate yet? I have a short list and am still watching folks. Trump, of course is on top. Then Cruz, Fiorina, Jindal and Carson. Walker was on the list, but after the latest I took him off.

You had to know right away that Powell Rice and Christie were not it

It was obvious they were all moderates at best and the first two were just skin color enhanced it factor

Powell is a democrat actually in my view...not even as right as Sam Nunn

Trump is more than ideology

Hes revolutionary and he’s about Trump

I’m having a great time watching the sour defeated politically correct dinosaur GOPe get the absolute snot beat out of it

We can never crush the left till we throw out our own trash

And with however flawed the hammer

Trump listens to what his base wants

That alone is an improvement

I forgot to mention watching ALL media including The Jeb Network ripped apart like in an old Tarzan movie when the natives would tie the hapless bwana hunter between two poles and the native mob would hold them high aloft in the air and let her rip......then the natives would grab the comely female and the loincloth wonder would swing in last second to save her and her appropriately torn clothing

That’s the media now

Torn between doing everything to kill The Donald who they fear more than 8 hours at a Tent Revival

And all that delicious cash flowing in from the off the charts ratings Trump brings to their broadcasts

People including minorities and non GOP sorts stop to hear him cause he’s great TV

I bet boardrooms are fierce fights right now between editorial folks who hate him and the publishing wing that is on their knees thanking God for him

It’s amazing

The McCain candor didn’t faze him

There is reason Cruz is easy on him and they meet privately

There is absolutely no reason to talk about illegals here until the wall is built. It is a lose lose argument.

Do what you can first and that is building the fence.

“We just recently build a house (in Texas) and every single sub-contractor was Mexican with all Mexican crews: foundation, framers, roofers,, plumbers, electricians, sheet rockers, and painters. The general contractor was the only anglo to be seen.”

That’s because in every industry illegals have invaded, wages have dropped so Americans can’t afford them and have to learn a new skill. When the few ICE raids occurred in Kansas several years ago, meat packing plants lost all their workers. No Americans applied for the $12/hr jobs. When it was raised to $15, they got the workers they needed.

You might be getting cheaper labor, but it is costing the rest of us in the loss of our culture, values, language, education- invaded schools that ignore white kids in order to teach English to illegals, taxes because they get lots of freebies- subsidized food, housing, health care, education. etc.

That is only one part of the solution. Enforcing laws against those that hire illegals will cause millions of them to self-deport. Have to remove the freebies first, of course.

Not necessarily the way it would go! While I hope that Trump is able to stay in the Republican Party, here is a dose of reality about the Third Party option:

Had Perot not been paranoid--remember he was surging in the polls before he pulled out--and then reentered, but with no where near the support before the paranoid event, ending up with only 19% of the vote;--he could have really rattled the dentures of the major parties.

The other problem that Perot had--which Trump would not have had--is that he could not speak extemporaneously on television, but looked totally spaced out, reading off a teleprompter behind the camera. I have personally used TV for half hour speeches in a campaign and can attest the effectiveness, if one can extemporize.

The reason to keep the Third Party option viable, is the changing demographics, that the Left is counting on to make Conservatives a permanent minority. A strong and articulate candidate, who lets the mindless acceptors of Leftist premises split their vote between the Democrats and the sort of "Republicans," who prattle their own version of the same acceptance of Socialist values, just might pull it off.

No! I am not suggesting that that is the ideal approach at this point. But a strategy on that order, might prove our last resort, if we cannot recapture the Republican Party next year. (And keep in mind that even if we do, a Cruz nomination might well provoke a Corporate CEO 2016 version of Republicans for Johnson, such as the Rockefeller branch of the Party hit Barry Goldwater with in 1964.)

The problem is complex. So we have to keep all options open.

Another historical note. Teddy Roosevelt's Bull Moose Third Party, which actually outpolled the Republican Party in 1912, lost to Wilson==but the mere threat of a revival by Hiram Johnson or William Borah was the whip that kept Henry Cabot Lodge from cutting off the debate that the irreconcilables finally won to defeat Wilson's League of Nations; leading to the overwhelming landslide of 1920.

Yet, all of that said, I sincerely hope that the useless idiots in our party--I remain a Republican;--those who keep hamstringing our efforts, will wake up and stop acting like amateur Nazis trying to suppress dissent. They have no sense, no integrity or courage, and no future.

You need to add to your list, that it took Trump little more than a few hours to demonstrate the total irrelevance of the Jeb Bush promotion.

"who's to blame if this happens?"

Not Trump. If GOPe engages their usual treachery to undermine conservatives in order to run Jeb -It's their fault when he (Jeb) loses-He will not win whether Trump stays in the race or not.

Jeb is an automatic win for Hillary, that's why the MSM is pushing for him to be the GOP nominee.

"Smash it into the dustbin of history."

First, the GOP must die.

Everything else comes after that.

"Trump in a third party gives the presidency to the dems, and eliminates Trump from the White House. "

Trump can run and win leading a 3rd party.

Historically, 3rd partie3sw run out of money before crunch time and cannot compete in the 4th quarter.

Trump can.

And, he can win a 35-40% plurality in 30-40 states.

I don’t know when I’ve had so much satisfaction politically

11/80 ?

Particularly given the abominable last month especially capped off with Anthony Hervey’s tragic homicide/accident

Please elaborate on his position, Lurker. This would be interesting.

Notice there was no reply?

Some lies are harder to support than others.

The amnesty lie about Trump is impossible to support, the best that can be done is to keep repeating the lie.

Balding,

There was a lot of information yesterday about Trump and Amnesty and the fence.

Trump isn’t as solid on Amnesty as he lets on...
