'Being a fan of Star Trek has given me a life', claims 69-year-old Steve Doman.

The devoted trekkie has spent 14 years transforming his remote Colorado cabin into a Star Trek shrine complete with Klingon and Federation-themed rooms.

Steve has spent a staggering $30,000 on the renovation project - which started as a winter hobby - and says there is still plenty of work to do.

I’ve met Bishop as well, he is definitely positive in his views. Unfortunately I think he has lost ownership of the property and has a terminal illness. I hope I am not remembering correctly.

To paraphrase Star Trek's opening line for our lonely Trekkie....”Where no women has ever gone before! (and will never go!)”

Dude....you got to move out of your parents basement

I tried that for awhile, but my sister's basement wasn't as nice.

LOL!

What sad is I saw all the Star Trek TOS... first run..starting in 1966...

I was geek before geek was cool....

Even sent away for a glossy brochure NBC put out about its new fall show..”Star Trek”...before the show ever aired...do you know what that be worth today!

FYI I also saw the first Star Wars first day..before it was a hit and tossed all the “May the Force be With You” stuff they handed out...

Star War was out about two week before it blew up in to the big hit

If he’s lost the property it has been this past year. We were there about a year ago, June 2014.
He is really bent over with spine trouble but seemed to be in good spirits.
Amazing he has done all that construction by himself.
I was chicken to climb up to the top. My son did. The iron works is really shaky, no place for the faint hearted.
