One Senator Says That The 1st Amendment Does Not Apply To Individuals, And Does Not Stop There

Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.) says the 1st Amendment’s religious liberty protections don’t apply to individuals. On MSNBC last week, Wisconsin’s junior Senator claimed that the Constitution’s protection of the free exercise of religion extends only to religious institutions, and that individual’s do not have a right to the free exercise of their own religion.

During the MSNBC appearance, which was covered by Breitbart and NewsBusters, Baldwin appeared clueless to the fact that the free exercise clause of the 1st Amendment has already been found to apply to individuals – not just churches, synagogues, mosques or other institutions of faith and worship.

Talk about dumbing down. At least she is aware there is something in the first amendment about religious freedom. That’s more than most in our education system today know.

Systemic collapse has been imminent for I’ve-lost-track-of-how-long now.
(I maintain that) we’re gonna keep fooling around till something *really* bad happens. (Think about how far things moved in the past week.)

I do not respect any American politician who hasn't read the U.S. Constitution or Declaration of Independence.

They swear an oath to something they have never read. Pathetic.

Madistan Wisconsin. That’s why. The libtard stronghold of the state. Higher per capita libtard concentration than Milwaukee.

“No Republican politician will make a political issue out of this. “

The problem is not politicians. It is the media. The old media is far more powerful than the politicians.

The old media is the reason that we ended up with the Obama administration and Tammy Baldwin.

Tammy Baldwin is an openly lesbian woman.

She won the Senate seat by pretending to be married. The media refused to call her on it, and her wussie opponent would not do so either.

Yeah, I’ve been told. Actually I was leaning toward this being a first step to criminalize any verbal opposition to homosexuality of homo marriage. It would make sense considering SCOTUS recent decision for this to be their next step ie limiting the 1st Amendment.

One of the things I find most interesting and infuriating about liberals, is that the Bill of Rights are only for the individual when they say it is. And then, they also get to choose which one of the amendments applies only in situations that are beneficial to their cause at that particular moment.

For example, the 4th Amendment protects individuals from illegal search and seizure, but the 2nd doesn’t protect the individual ownership of firearms.

But then again, she is from Wisconsin. A rather left wing location.

It’s really impossible and pointless to try and deal with anyone who is beyond reason. 99.8 percent of the left is irrational and beyond reason. That .2 will eventually trickle away- and regularly does. This is why I believe that our only option is separation. I have been intensely exposed to ‘’democrats’’ for 14 years. Things began to escalate in 2006 and 2007. Since 0bamacare, they’re crazier than I ever imagined an ‘’ordinary’’ person could be. It;s because the communists are ‘’out’’ now, imho. Batten down the hatches. Things are gonna get a little rough.

I skimmed thru an article a while back that was written by a Russian economist(I think). Basis of the article was who the US would break up eventually, as the population became increasingly polarized. Weird thing, perhaps very foretelling, was how he described the breakup geographically. If I remember correctly, the country split up into three regions:
West Coast
Northeast down to DC
Everything else...which is funny, because that is where all the food and resources are and the Southeast all the way around to Mexico has deep water ports with which to do trade with. And wouldn’t you know it, that whole swath is pretty damn Red, save a few of the major cities.

Obviously not much different than how things are shaping up.

One of the biggest problems I see with all of it, is that it seems as though a handful of areas in the country, due to their population density, control how things go because of the Electoral College. I’ve been wanting to do some more research on how Maine(I think) doles out their EC votes. Where it isn’t winner take all. They divvy them up somehow. It’d be interesting to see how things would have played out in the last few elections had the whole country done that. Of course, that may be one of the reasons that he wants to put Section 8 in every neighborhood in America. Turn everything purple.

I think I’ve read the article (wrt to the Russian & his predictions).

Agree.

Here’s what’s dicey: the South has carried the republicans for ages. What’s going to happen now that these politicians have stabbed us in the back? They won’t vote democrat, certainly- but what will happen? Why did they do this & what does it mean?
Strange days.

It's almost reached the point where those who strive to deny us our GOD GIVEN rights, should be denied some of their rights!

The ballot box - Fail

The Cartridge Box - BLOAT.

I wonder how much water Tommy has for the Tree of Liberty, to fertilize his position on the 1st amendment?

Not one drop of his own is my bet.
