Saw this movie in a theater. When the WH got vaporized, the entire theater broke out in cheers and howls of laughter.
Of course, this was during the krinton years.

Actually, it was. Then the fedzilla got a hold of it and edited it a bit, then hit us all with the mind wipe ray beams, then re-released the edited movie version of events. That wasn’t the first time this was done, either. No one remembers the mag 9 earthquake that caused all the people that weren’t tied down to be flung all the way to the west coast. But, they remember Grapes of Wrath story that the fedzilla had produced to explain why so may people wheren’t where they were used to being at, once they woke up from the memory zap rays. No, no, no, you have it all wrong, it was all the vaccines that made us forget the mag 9 earthquake, not mind wipe ray beams. The very idea of mind wipe ray beams is ridiculous. Jim Carrey told me so himself. As did Jenny McCarthy. She was VERY convincing.

Damn straight people cheered, but I bet not nearly as loud as we did on base. Those of us in the military at the time despised the pants dropper, but not nearly as much as 0 is despised now.
