The man shot and killed by a former CNN journalist at an Albuquerque motel was reportedly identified by police Thursday night.

Albuquerque Police Department spokesman Tanner Tixier said Tomorio Walton, 27, was involved in the shooting, the Albuquerque Journal reports. Walton was on parole in Memphis, Tennessee before fleeing police. Officials are unsure how long Walton was in the city for.

Former CNN anchor Lynne Russell said her husband Chuck de Caro, and Walton exchanged gunfire after the man entered their room at a Motel 6 on Albuquerque’s western edge and demanded jewelry.

Neither the media, or the police have said but I’m thinking bad guy had a .22.
Scare people that know nothing about weapons, and cheap.

The high speed chases with the horse drawn carts are a hoot to watch on TV also.

Has she been fired yet?? Why Not?? her husband is obviously a crazed nut about guns, and he KILLED an Innocent Person by taking the LAW into his own Hands. He should have called 911 and cowered in the corner. FIRE THIS CRAZY PERSON THAT LIVES WITH A VIOLENT GUN NUT!.

"Lynne was one of my favourites on CNN back in the day."

Ah yes. Lynne - I loved her - and my wife knew it - I'd just be mesmerized watching her... - so I just showed a picture to my wife to remind her who she was - oops - Spanish utterances I'm sure not nice.

It's not that she was the most gorgeous woman - but it was the way she would come across.

I’m not sure but I don’t think either of them works for CNN any longer.
I think he’s a security consultant, and travels a lot.

She was a “gun nut” while she still did HLN. She spoke openly about her CCW, and it was widely known she was a Fulton Co Sheriff’s Deputy.

Excuse me. I meant “While most of the shootings are black on black, there are instances where it is white on black . . .”

. . . I was one cup short of a full brain.
