Defenders of the Confederate Flag (of whom Im not one) have a new and unexpected ally: MSNBCs Ed Schultz.
The liberal talker said recently that purging the flag from museums and war memorials is a desecration of American history. Yes, really (listen to the audio here):
"You know, I understand the effort to remove the Confederate flag from state capitols in the South and anywhere else in this country. Theres no doubt about it that it sends the wrong message. But at this point, I asked the question, is it overboard? And I dont understand the attempt to erase American history as if its going to change our course as a nation. Its not."
Strong words, but it gets even worse (or better, depending on your perspective):
"The desecration of our nations history, I think, is dangerous and I think its unproductive. American history and our roots as a nation needs (sic) to be, number one, understood. It needs to be properly interpreted. It needs to be taught. And at a level, I think, it needs to be respected to be put in its proper context to the recognition of what has developed our great nation and how we have moved forward."
Now, we could debate the pros and cons of Schultzs arguments, but thats not the real issue here. As far as Im concerned, theres just one question that needs to be answered: why does Ed Schultz hate blacks?

The old broken clock syndrome.
Has Shultsy figured out that they will cut his head off too?
Idotic. Racism is not the issue here except in the eyes of back racialists and their stupid white dupes who could find racism anywhere they look except in the mirror.
When the prohibition amendment was repealed with another amendment, the original stayed. The framers intended this to be the process as a message to future generations by leaving the scars of history for all to see.
Sometimes scars are because of something unwise you’ve done. Sometimes they happened because of a sacrifice to save a life.
It is the Democrat Party that has this heritage of hate. No Republican EVER held slaves - ONLY DEMOCRATS. The Democrat Party has NEVER apologized for slavery! If we are going to ban anything meaningful because of slavery - BAN THE DEMOCRAT PARTY !!!
It’s not about racism, it’s about denying what happened. Sorry, but there was a book called The Giver about a society that was twisted beyond all reason and was in denial about history. I liked the new movie adaptation too.

Useful idiots rarely stop to think about what will happen when they are no longer useful.
National Origin & Harassment It is unlawful to harass a person because of his or her national origin. Harassment can include, for example, offensive or derogatory remarks about a persons national origin, accent or ethnicity. Although the law doesnt prohibit simple teasing, offhand comments, or isolated incidents that are not very serious, harassment is illegal when it is so frequent or severe that it creates a hostile or offensive work environment or when it results in an adverse employment decision (such as the victim being fired or demoted)."
All of this anti-Confederate flag hysteria is clearly a violation of such anti-discrimination laws, as they are aimed against persons of CSA ancestry.
I think the cutting remark at the end was unnecessary
Why aren’t you a defender of the Confederate battle flag against erasers of history?
That’s a fair question.... these people are like ISIS - they destroy history. It’s EVIL.
He doesn’t understand. Maybe Moochelle’s could splain it to him.
!
Please get on social media... make sure red, white and blue are everywhere. I know they will plan to change the presence of our national flag. It is a challenge to all of the patriots. Please display your flags starting July 1st and pass on this message.
Also get on the white house website and request RED, WHITE and BLUE be displayed for the 4th of July!
