Can federal law grant constitutional rights to individuals?
Any legal experts out there that can clarify?
I am, too. We can win--our side has the weapons. And when we do, let's have no more of this "charity toward all and malice toward none" garbage. We need to treat our defeated liberal/leftist enemies as ISIS treats theirs, or even better, as the Khmer Rouge treated theirs.
Its in the Constitution right in between the abortion clause and the healthcare code.
I could care less about gay marriage, because they will eventually prove their dysfunction. Divorce and family courts will be inundated with seperations, haggling over child custody. There will be parentage denial, it will be interesting to watch.
First I’ve heard of this...color me skeptical.
But spiking the football is what the leftards have been taught to do by their idol in chief...
Welcome to Caligula, indulge or die.
My first thought, lol.
This will be every bit as divisive as the abortion ruling by the supremes. I don’t know what will be the Archduke Ferdinand moment of the culture war, or when it will come, but come it will.
The left is waging a war on reality and reason - but reality and reason have a way of getting their revenge.
Wait until Hillary! gets her ban on homeschooling.
Ours is quickly becoming a very sick society.
Sick societies don’t last long.
Funny, I never heard or read of anyone that said this. (unlike the numerous Hollywood stars that promised they'd leave and never did!)
This is made up jibber-jabber.
And yet federal law, “the law of the land”, designates marijuana to be illegal, liberals have no problem with some states disregarding that law and making their own.
Don’t fear for the Republic; it’s long gone.
It’s best to detach emotionally from the pathetic shell of polity that this country has become. Just float like a cork on the tide of history and watch humanity collapse into confusion and despair. Not without empathy... but also not with a misbegotten sense of belonging. God has given us the privilege of witnessing this.
Corruption is never compulsory. Theirs is not yours.
Where do you move to? Most of the world is joining in the American insanity.
FR is as Conservative as it gets, and while i’ve seen calls to secede, they’ve been general in nature and not pertaining just to this ruling.
I don’t think I’ve seen many, if any, calls to go ex-pat (again, over this) let alone self-immolate.
Seems like this HuffPo dweeb is setting up a strawman. Shocker.
Although I do wonder what the reaction would be to a bunch of Conservatives actually self-imolating on the steps of the Supreme Court. And the general public’s reaction to the Progs reaction, which would most certainly involve references to S’mores, hot dogs and Jiffy Pop ..
Why would anyone want to "burn themselves in effigy" - i.e., set fire to an image of themselves?
That sentence simply doesn't make sense.
Regards,
We will not just be branded traitor; we will not just be ridiculed, tormented and mocked.
Given the opportunity they will arrest us, imprison us and ultimately burn us.
First they came for the Conservatives, and the rest said nothing because they were not Conservatives.
Then they came for the Christians, and the rest said nothing because they were not Christians.
Then they came for the Jews, and the rest said nothing because they were not Jews.
Then they came for the Moderates, and the rest said nothing because they were not Moderates.
Then they came for the Activists.
And there was no one left, but the Sheep.
I will not be taken. I will not go.
I WILL RESIST.
Does federal law effect common wealth areas?
If not, its time Puerto Rico buys Florida.
As a side bonus, new San Juan (formerly Florida) would have no federal taxes.
