The current attempt to direct the symbols of South Carolina leads me to believe that there may an ultimate goal -the repeal of 2ndA-. Maybe "we" as patriots can discuss and provide discussion as to why the separate states should be able to present symbols as appropriate to our location. As an example; The State of Illinois, in legislation, has designated the Cardinal as their State bird. Is this not a tacit acceptance of religion and the Roman Catholic church as the preferred religion of Illinois? I wonder, how many of the 13-colony states have firearms in their flag? I disagree but, where does the political-correctness end. I posit it ends in the 10th Amendment (albeit torn asunder by A. Lincoln). Any up for some coordinated discussion near-worthy of Mark Levin? Am I barking up the improper tree? Do need another roll of tinfoil?
Most state flags hearken back to historical references of God or religion. Florida’s flag, for instance, has the cross of St. Andrew and plainly states “In God We Trust” on the state seal.
Texas features a star on our flag. This is explicitly unfair to planets.
No, it’s a deliberate insult to the Cubs by referencing their hereditary enemies from St. Louis.
I don’t care who you are that, RIGHT THERE, is funny!
No, the star is to honor the Dallas Cowboys. ducking and running....
That’s OK since most everything outside of Crook County in Illinois is KMOX radio Cardinal baseball country.
Paging the amazing ‘Bot.
It is the policy of the Marxist left to complain about and debase everything American in order to foment discord and prepare the way for a government takeover during the inevitable civil uprisings. The Marxist left cannot exist in a civilized society.
I know that this post is VANITY but, the real question is, where do we draw the line on State’s Rights to identify their heritage...
OR
where do conservatives tell our States that a single, blank, WHITE flag would suffice?
Do we surrender or do we tell the PC-Marxists to simply “piss-up-a-rope”?
This is the seal of Idaho. As you see, there are no firearms, but there is a lady holding a severed head on a spear and a guy on the right ready to dig unmarked graves. Well, that's what it looks like to me, anyway. The state motto commemorates our passion for cuisine - "Pesto perpetua", or "Italian food forever". There are two Horns of Plenty dispensing hand grenades and a sheaf of asparagus, the state flower. Also there's a male elk head that represents the Patriarchy.
Help! Help!
The flag of the liberal state of Massachusetts has a white guy stabbing an Indian!
Help! Help!
The Bear on the flag of California hearkens to “The Bear Revolt”.
Originally the flag, like Texas, had a single star.
The star represented California as a lone and sovereign state.
Today, the flag retains the spirit of independence demanded by Californio’s, as they were then known.
The flag flies with “California Republic” emblazoned on the bottom, with the Bear prominent and the Star flying on what is considered the western part of the flag, above the Bear.
I'm offended now.
Frickin ice in your veigns or what?
That’s funny!
Don’t even get me started on my state flag. Has the picture of a slave owner on it!!
But, just like in King County, where they changed the name from “King” (as in Rufus B. King, white settler) to “King” as in Martin Luther King (along with putting his face on all of the cars and letterheads), they are changing the name of “Washington” to “Washington”, as in Booker T. Washington.
(Okay - just joking, I think, on the second part. But the first part is true. And I doubt MLK even visited Seattle!)
That's the biggest, meanest looking Cardinal I ever saw.
Seriously, I think you're letting your Catholic paranoia get the best of you. The cardinal is the state bird of 7 states: Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia, and West Virginia. You'll note several of these states had very small Catholic populations until fairly recently.
(I would suspect that St. Louis' choice of the Cardinal for its baseball team might have had something to do with Catholicism. It was home of one of the first US Cardinals, and baseball players have always been very likely to be Catholic, even black baseball players like Hank Aaron, Reggie Jackson, Ken Griffey Jr, etc.)
Isn’t that a Muslim moon? Who knew South Carolina was part of ISIS???!!!???
...pretty close.
