Just as a side note, I love those pack hunting pix like the one on the page you linked. I always have this Zombie Basset Apocalypse mental image of Bassets as far as the eye can see rampaging across the earth licking everything to death in their path ;)

And can operate in low earth orbit...

Interviewed after her heroic actions, Tara proclaimed she's always self-identified as a protective canine & not even sure if her parents were feline.

Says she will use this moment to encourage others like her to be their true self, don't be deterred by the naysayers.

Tara truly deserves Hero Dog Award. ...Congratulations.

If I remember correctly, the cat was a stray who followed them home. At first they tried the “ignore it and it will go away” approach. After a few days, it was obvious the cat wasn’t going anywhere, so they adopted it.

You’re not suggesting different human races are the result of selective breeding, are you?

That would be the effects of natural selection in different climates and locations.

And the first dog I grew up with when I was small was a lovely, infinitely patient and attention-loving lady basset.

Dude! you’re a banker! I just handed you a guaranteed profitable business opportunity on a silver platter!

You make two youtube channels. One for the Basset and one for the Cat. Post the same videos of them ‘hounding’ each other to each, do separate commentary extolling the superiority of the cat on the cat channel, the dog on the dog channel and profit! ;)

lol. That is a good idea. Playing both ends of the coin.

And though I was paid well, i was not a banker. I made the presentations in PowerPoint FOR the bankers for 20 years.

I will consider getting a basset hound and put them on youtube and eventually get arrested for animal cruelty :)

What else do you call millennial of self selected breeding if not selective breeding? I didn’t day we cant or that there wasn’t some. Sure we interbred. But to a limited degree. Same thing today to a lesser extent even with the ability to circumnavigate the planet in a day.

When new worlds were discovered, there was no mad rush by anyone to greener grass.
