Kids in low-income communities statistically do poorer in terms of school performance near the end of each month, in part, because “they start getting hungry” as their food stamps “start running out,” said President Barack Obama at a Democratic National Committee fundraiser in Santa Monica, Calif., on Thursday.

“Too many of our kids still go hungry in this country,” said Obama.

“I was looking at some statistics, because we're looking at policies around hunger and the SNAP program, and the performance of children in lower-income communities in school dips at the end of the month in a statistically significant way,” he said, “in part because they start getting hungry as their food stamps for their family start running out which then affects how they perform in school.”

The fundraiser where Obama spoke was held at the home of actor, playwright, and songwriter Tyler Perry. …

It’s kinda like Barry wants to try to top his last outrageous BS every time he opens his mouth.

And to think the liberals tell us what a genius he is. I doubt the guy’s smart enough to be a taxi cab driver.

The schools are giving them three meals a day. But, they’re Michelle-meals, so that might be the problem.

Apparently, 46 million food stamps and millions of free school meals don’t go very far these days.

Maybe the kids just won’t eat the tasteless Michelle Obama healthy diet.

Sure they are hungry!

Hasn’t he seen pix of the official Michelle Obama school lunches?

His own wife is responsible for that.

many EBT recipients (parents) have been selling their food benefits to continue their various destructive addiction

Ding, ding, ding we have a winner.

Every time I see one of these liberal do-gooders out here saying we’re going to raise money for hungry kids, I go ballistic. What hungry kids? With what their spending to feed a kid everyday, I could eat for a week!

So Dumbo is saying the schools test the students frequently enough to differentiate performance over the course of each month. It wasn’t that long ago that the libs were bitching about too much testing.

If a child comes to school without a lunch and not have eaten breakfast for say two days straight, the state should put them in foster care. What are food stamps for? Steaks, chips and sodas? A dozen eggs, a gallon of milk, a loaf of bread, a can of tuna, a pack of bologna, a jar of mustard and mayo. That is a good meal for 5 days for both breakfast and lunch for a kid. Cost? $12-$15? Add in a box of oatmeal, a little brown sugar, and pancake mix, what are we up to now? $30 for 2-3 weeks? FEED YOUR OWN KIDS people. The best motivator in the entire world is a growling stomach. Oh, and get rid of child labor laws. Allow children to work. I started my paper route after my brother got a job at a grocery store, he handed it off to me. He was 15, I was 10. I started in the store with him twice a week for a few hours when I was 12. My brother who was now 9 began to learn the route. Delivering papers was handed down in our family from 1962 to 1980. We had seven kids in the family, one working parent. You think my mom and dad would have taken food stamps and welfare? NOT A CHANCE. We had to buy our own school annuals. We walked to school, even though my mom could have driven us. She would give us the eye that said, “get on hoofs mare and start movin”. I remember one time I had a school lunch before high school. In HS I had a few but they weren’t as good as homemade. Besides, I had to spend my own money. We got enough for a milk, that was it.

“Low income” school kids may not be able to read or write but they can complain of being hungry.
Since the feds—through the National School Lunch program and Moochelle’s gimmick “Let’s Move!” program—have preempted this area, it would be embarrassing (at least) for most professional people to have to admit they have been abject failures:
“Teacher, ah cain’t move, ah’m so hongry ... ah din’t feed that stuff in the cafeteria to may dam dawg, Uh uh.”

Of course, Hillary! was an abject failure as Sec. of State and they pinned a medal on her.
So this administration’s standards are pretty low.
Yeah, hungry school kids: whose fault?
Once again, anyone but the Obamas.
