Don’t tell Michelle. She thinks they’re all eating like kings.
I’m kind of astounded that the parents wouldn’t make an effort to be sure they made their stamps last through the month.
Part of the problem might be ... if they spend all their money on pre-packaged convenient foods ... yes, that stuff is expensive.
One of my black co-workers awhile back said that one of her nieces was asked to bring a store-bought cake or ice cream to a family gathering. “She’s 25 years old and got five kids.”
“and she can’t cook?”
“Cook1 @#$, no. She always feeds them @#$% out of the microwave.”
People don’t cook anymore because no one teaches them. If Mom or Grandma can’t, there are no Home Ec teachers to help anymore.
