Adblock Plus already has a Firefox for Android add-on, though it requires installing two apps and setting them up. The company also has an Android app that blocks in-app ads, but it only works on Wi-Fi connections and has to be sideloaded and hooked up to a proxy.
In other words, Adblock Plus isnt easy to use on mobile. Adblock Browser is supposed to change that. This is the first time weve really gone with a solution that is completely ours, communications manager Ben Williams told VentureBeat.
Adblock Browser wasnt exactly written from the ground up. The team used the open-source Firefox for Android browser as its base, included Adblock Plus, and disabled Sync while adding support for other add-ons.
Adblock Plus for Android got kicked out of Google Play along with other ad-blocking apps in March 2013 because Googles developer distribution agreement states apps cannot interfere with the functionality of other apps. Williams thus believes Adblock Browser should be fine as it only blocks ads that are shown as you browse the Web.

I wouldn't browse without AdBlock Plus. It makes all the difference. Especially for long YouTube videos with a zillion commercials.

Oh please release this for iOS. Breitbart.com has so loaded their site with annoying, moving ads, that I can’t even read it on my iPad. I start to read and the text moves around for aome stupid ad, or disappears behind some other stupid af.

Thanks for the belly-laugh, mate! *grin*
Brings back SO many memories of when I used to use a plain browser, in the ‘doze OS no less. :)
I love Adblock Plus, and Ghostery as well. *smile*

OK people, this is a fortuitous story for me. I was about to write a post asking how to get my browsing experience back and this comes up. I know you guys probably know all the secrets, but I'm out of the loop. Every site, and I mean every site now has pop ups, automatic starting adds that I can't stop talking, and almost every conceivable pisser offer known to man. I click on a page and an add starts automatically while I'm trying to read the page. Then a pop up page comes up and you click the X to close and a box comes up offering to stay on the page I'm trying my best to close. Then the page underneath starts playing another add. If I finally find the box that is talking, there is NO BUTTONS to stop it, mute it, or pause it. If I go to The Blaze.com, you can hear an add start automatically, but it cuts out every other word or syllable. I don't have any malware or virus according to MalwareBytes and AVG. I have Ghostery and Addblock plus.
I'm hoping someone has something besides ridicule.

PS. There is also the case where you listen to the ad, then you listen to the video you wanted in the first place, then another add plays automatically and the next video plays that you didn’t ask for, the you finally stop the video to read the comments below and another video starts to play while you are banging on stop. They just play without any clicking and won’t stop until you just kill the whole window. I’ve even gone to the bathroom with the video stopped and 2-3 minutes later, I hear another ad and another video starting back up. It’s just no fun anymore fighting the bloodsucking leeches.

Right, well, first off: which browser are you using? I am only familiar with Opera and a bit of Firefox but others might have more knowledge with other browsers. Oh, and which OS as well are you using? Since I am most familiar with it and appreciate it so, perhaps you can try switching to Opera.
In Opera, you can try the ScriptKeeper extension if the standard Adblocker Plus and Ghostery ones don’t help. In extreme cases you can try the Readability extension to view only the text sections of the webpage you are visiting.
In Firefox, try NoScript Security Suite for the same problem(s).
Good luck. :)

If you are referring to YouTube vids, in the upper right section of the site there is an “Autoplay” icon that you have to click over to “Off” to disable the next vid from playing. Just once, though, as once you click it the next vids you view will also know not to autoplay.

What
are all those annoying little graphics?
Because Adblock. And Self-destructing cookies. And Flashblock. And Blur. And Etc... ;)
I feel sorry for all the people who put up with that crap. I used to be one, myself. Not any more! Now for a cure for those new HTML5 embedded autostart videos. The bastards never stop trying, and I will never patronize an advertiser who uses them.

"Oh please release this for iOS. Breitbart.com has so loaded their site with annoying, moving ads,"Have you been to Beck's site? he makes Breitbart look like a pauper. I run "Ghostery" & a Google Blocker, I get over 70 items he is trying to data mine me about. And he has the gall to go on a anti NSA tirade? FWIW, I have tried some of the other top blockers mentioned in this thread, anti-hijacker too. After a while they are doing possibly the same thing and some of these add-on's don't play well with each other and you are then running slower than molasses.
