Hancock deputy beaten, cut during traffic stop
The Clarion ledger ^ | May 19, 2015 | Therese Apel

...The deputy suffered a two-and-a-half-inch cut to his forehead and multiple bodily injuries. The doctor told the deputy it looked like the cut was made by a box cutter.

"They roughed him up, but the officer was able to press a button and release his K-9 from the backseat," Adam said. The dog bit at least one of the suspects, potentially saving the officer's life, Adam said.

That was more than good equipment and a good dog, Adam said.

"We have four K-9 units here, but only two of our vehicles are equipped with the pop mechanism," he said.

But because of that, the dog was able to get to the attackers and they ceased their attack on the deputy.

Have the FURminator brush handy for your long coated German shepherd. Mine is constantly getting her hair matted.

“Dog took a bite out of crime!”

Maybe the suspects won’t get treatment in fear of getting caught, their wounds get infected, and require amputation(s). Just hoping.

Omaha is in Chicago?

Anyhow, note how the Clarion-Ledger and the TV station are oh so careful to not give a description of the assailants. Also, no license plate number given either. Must protect those vermin thugs.

We have a small, vicious, miserable, sewer part of town that is Chicago South side writ large—they are pretty pleased with the dead cop.

Gosh guys, I didn’t think I needed the sarc tag.

Anyway though It took 13 years we finally erased one last week who murdered his girlfriend, her mother and grandmother. He was number 525.

Gee, I think I’ll shed a tear.

Dang I screwed up my thread responses guys.

Well, trying again here I will just add that Texas has about 265 on death row which is just a fraction of the convicted murderes in prison total. But at least some of them get eliminated. A great deal depends on what county the case is prosecuted in and wheteher the county goes for the DP or not.

I favor it for the most vicious cases particularly but want the courts to be damn sure certain they have the right perp.
