If you could take any historical event and have it made into a movie (and it would be made to your liking) which historical event would it be? Hannibal? Maccabees? Etc.

I watched this during the Maiden Riots. This history must have been made just a few years before - as the had a few people talking about if they should be European or Russian.
It talks of course about the entire history, including Stalin’s ruthlessness.
The statue in the Maiden Plaza is of one of the first rulers of Ukraine - Vikings!
Third Crusade: Saladin's Humiliation and Defeat
The Third Crusade: A Christian Victory
Or the first crusade would be just as good here is a nice piece of fiction on it:
First Crusade: The Fall of Jerusalem, 1099
The made for TV Movie “ An American Story” was based on the battle of Athens TN.
It’s on You Tube here:

The letter in question was written by Upton Sinclair -- the utopian socialist and muckraking author (The Jungle, etc.).
Mark for later
The Americans prisoners were confined for 40 months in solitary confinement. They were fed one cup of rice and four ounces of bread three times a day. They were given 1/2 hour in the exercise yard.
The quards who tortured the Americans were called Kempeitai. They were trained in Germany by Hitler’s Gestapo before the war.
If the prisoners did not answer the Kempeitai’s questions, they were beaten about the head and ears with a rifle butt and subjected to water torture. With hands tied behind their backs, they were placed flat on their back on the floor. Guards would sit on the chest and legs. A towel was placed over the mouth and nose while water was forced into the mouth. A sense of drowning and loss of consciousness would occur. Guards would pound the stomach to force water out.
After each torture session, guards would pound on cell doors to awaken them if they fell asleep. Then they would jam sharp sticks under their fingernails and light them on fire.
The Great Storm in Galveston Tx. Early 1900’s.
Would’ve been perfect for the 200th anniversary this year.
What about a dual movie, showing scenes as related in a lefty textbook in black-and-white followed by the real history in color?
Or vice versa. The last scene could be black-and-white but then the flag in color. Freepmail me for my address to send royalties.
There is a movie “Waterloo” and it is very good too. Amazing arial footage of the British defensive fighting squares.
How about when the LA Times tried to shut down FreeRepublic.com?
J. Caesar’s victory at the Battle of Alesia
Galveston hurricane...or the massacre at Montsegur...or the Honda Point disaster.
A biopic about Ulysses S. Grant - his military career and presidency. He is an interesting American who seems mostly forgotten now.
Not to mention Nixon’s legacies we live under today: the EPA and OSHA ...
