I have worked with James and he was thoughtful and kind to everyone involved in the production, especially us nobodies. He went out of his way to spend time with us rather than hobnob with the more famous and wealthy participants. This article on MacDonalds is in keeping with his loyalty to those who have been good to him. Don’t know his politics, don’t know about his personal life, but I do he does not put on airs or think he is better than anyone else.

Good payback from Franco. You have to give him “props” for this. Lots of people in his position wouldn’t admit to ever having worked at a MacDonalds.
Yep, about as successful as hundreds of other actors but a far cry from "one of the most successful actors in the industry"
generally, too many people put down McDonalds when in reality, its a "go to" place for many of us when we're running late to get home,or traveling....you always know what you're going to get, its pretty quick, and not too expensive...
and as for people that work there, it teaches people manners, organization,teamwork,etc....nothing in the world wrong with it at all...
and some people don't need to make a zillion dollars to live...some just need "some" money for the household...others are just starting out....no shame at all....infact, I'd say its commendable...
I blame Dionne Warwick for that.

Not at all. When you look at all the commercials, all the TV shows on hundreds of cable channels, the countless movies released each year, most of which go straight to rental, there's easily tens of thousands of people who can honestly call themselves "actors" having earned at least one paycheck in the business. Of all these people, maybe a hundred are what we would call household names. The Oscar-nominated and Golden Globe-winning James Franco is one of these.
Yet I had never heard of him until I read this article.
I think that depends on the McDonald’s. Many of them are staffed by the same cohort.

It’s their marketing campaign.
White people no longer are sought out as customers.

Relatively speaking, Franco is most certainly one of the most successful actors in Hollywood.
