U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack is traveling to Colorado to announce funding for conservation projects in all 50 states. [ ]
The Department of Agriculture says the projects concern water quality, soil health, wildlife habitat and agricultural viability.

More than likely though, the feds want to take control of the ag industry, at the behest of the crony ag-corps. And more than likely, the feds will make it illegal for the “people” to even attempt to grow their own food.
Yup. But it was hard, manually intensive and productive work. Character building work.
And in this day and age would do incredible things for unemployed, disaffected inner city youth. Yank them out of the urban environment, send them off to rural areas to plant trees or clear out brush or something. Give them opportunities to learn lucrative skills like plumbing or carpentry or machine repair.
The Vilsack Rule: anything Tom Vilsack is involved with will suck, vacuum cleaners excepted.

I’m trying to find out if any of the funding is allocated to condemnation or “takings” as in Kelo v. New London. A lot of land is gobbled up by government this way. For National parks we can enjoy? Fine. But simply to seize land for “preservation” has grown to tyrannical proportions .
