Eagles quarterback Mark Sanchez said he wasn't concerned that the team signed Tim Tebow, because the Eagles told him Tebow was just there to throw in camp.
"We needed another guy to throw while Sam's (Bradford) still recovering. So that's the reason (for the signing), at least as explained to me," Sanchez said, per CSN Philadelphia.
The Eagles signed Tebow on Monday. He hasn't played in the NFL since getting cut by the Patriots at the end of training camp prior to the 2013 season. He spent last year as a television analyst for the SEC Network

The Pats gave Tebow a serious chance and he showed he was not up to the task.
Like Tebow was going to beat out Brady...or fit in that offense.
On the other hand, when Sanchez curled up into a ball, there was no good reason for Ryan not to give him a shot. He’d already shown he was better at running an offense than what Sanchez had become.
Then why bring him to camp?
August. Maybe September.
Not always. Look at Alex Smith. He can get outplayed every year and still start.
Matt Cassel was better and he never started a game for USC.
Who on The Kansas City Chiefs can outplay Smith?
