East Parkwood Drive in Dayton
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) Dayton Police respond to a dangerous animal complaint and find a dog dead in the middle of the street.
Police were called around 1 a.m. Saturday to East Parkwood Drive.
When officers arrived, they met with a woman and her boyfriend. The two said they were walking their dog down the street when a gray pit bull charged and attacked their dog and tried to bite them. The woman then pulled out a gun and shot the dog twice.
Police found the dogs body in the street.
Police said the woman had a valid concealed carry permit. Police werent able to find the owner of the dead dog. Officers moved the dog out of the road and instructed street maintenance crews to pick it up in the morning.
Dogs should use cash
In before the “don’t blame the breed” crowd.
Ya gotta be quick here on FR.
I was gonna say she shoulda just taken his credit card......
I got charged by an unattended pitbull one night while walking my dog. I used bear spear and not a gun, but either one is fine in that situation IMO.
Thanks to the north wind I got a face full of bear spray too.
MMMM MMMM that stuff is hot. It took three blasts to the dogs face to convince it to go away. I’m glad it was not a grizzly.
As a dog lover I say...
GOOD SHOOTING!
I believe proper socialization can do wonders for almost any dog.
Cats, however.................
The poor dog should’ve never been shot. It had hopes of going to obedience school and turning its life around but then some gun-toting, evil right winger cruelly snuffed its life out with a GUN!!! OK, just having a little fun. I have no idea of the political ideology of this woman but you know there’s some PETA kook or other demented animal rights/dog lover who’s gonna come across this story and wish evil upon this woman.
“The woman then pulled out a gun and shot the dog twice.”
She needs to get a new boyfriend.
Wouldn't it be nice if the article cited witnesses? Maybe it happened like they say, maybe they just panicked. There sure are a lot people that just drop a load in their pants at mere sight of or even just the words Pit Bull.
Lol.
Even in my “upscale” neighborhood, there are a lot of rednecks who can’t seem to control their animals.
I was going to say that she saved the cops a bullet.
“She needs to get a new boyfriend.”
LOL! Darn right she does! :)
Naaaahhh, he was 1)saving his ammo and 2)allowing her to throw off the (hopefully) last remaining fear to squeeze the trigger when necessary. Now she can move up to cats, feral knockout game participants, carjackers, rapist and the like. Good huntin’ Darlin’ ! !
Funny how they are almost always pit bulls. Last summer one got away from it’s owner and chewed up a little girl that lives across the street.
Haha! I bet she has to deal with the spiders herself too. :)
OK. I’ll admit it. Finally a post about a good pit bull.
