Why would you want to kill a giraffe? It’s not some fearsome creature?

Neither is a deer. What’s your point?

Surplus to requirements. It was old , kicked out of the pack, or flock, or whatever. Alternative was letting it wander until wild dogs ate it alive. Nature red in tooth and claw, the twitters disparaging Rebecca Francis don’t know that.

You get to eat some as camp meat, you can’t take meat home . But the meat is given to local tribes who can reduce an elephant carcass in hours. You get the skin etc as trophies and the memories of a hunt in some pretty wild and dangerous country.

I don't get big game sport hunting. But in the end, recently we had a story about a zoo that killed a giraffe because they had too many, nobody else needed or wanted one, and it was a needless expense.

As for her posing by lying with the dead animal, I have heard of hunters doing this, a simple expression of unconscious identification.

None of your business. Are you the commissar that has the power to clear what citizens are allowed to hunt?

Why would you want to kill a giraffe?

Because it owes me money, and it's been talking crap all over town about what a wussy I am.

Last week someone shot an armadillo. The bullet killed it, but bounced off and hit another person.

The internet went wild with anti-hunting spewers who have no idea how much an armadillo can destroy in your yard. Plus they carry leprosy.
