I don’t care to hunt giraffe but if it helps cull the herd or pays to maintain the preserve
Then so what
I’d prefer to hunt deer or maybe ground hunt a real predator
Or a Buff
But I’m old now
White tails and ducks or dove or maybe some hogs
I’m so damn busy
If I’m not working I travel with wifey and the porch monkeys
I always mean to hunt more but fall short
Oldest boy hunts our property and beyond
Got a nice gobbler recently
All i hunt now is splittail
When she leaves sign

Poor Ricky, when the SHTF he is going to be one of the Zombies wanting to kill you for food.
So she hunts big game.
So what?
Animals aren’t people and if you want to see wholesale disturbing slaughter go search up videos of a chicken farm.
Hunting kills are downright “humane” (hate that word) in comparison.
Giraffe is good eats.

I was approached toward the end of my hunt with a unique circumstance. They showed me this beautiful old bull giraffe that was wandering all alone. He had been kicked out of the herd by a younger and stronger bull. He was past his breeding years and very close to death. They asked me if I would preserve this giraffe by providing all the locals with food and other means of survival. He was inevitably going to die soon and he could either be wasted or utilized by the local people. I chose to honor his life by providing others with his uses and I do not regret it for one second. Once he was down there were people waiting to take his meat. They also took his tail to make jewelry, his bones to make other things, and did not waste a single part of him. I am grateful to be a part of something so good”

Not a fan of Ricky Gervais’ so-called “humor”.
Rebecca Francis actually “honored” that poor old giraffe by allowing the locals to harvest his remains.
I remember advice an old gunslinger was giving a young man. “Never smile when you shoot a man.” It seems that’s probably good advice across the board.

Last night I was roused from my tent and forced to shoot a giraffe in my pajamas...How it got in to my pajamas I’ll never know!
