So I saw several years of complaints that Obama was born in Kenya. Lets assume he was. His mother is an American citizen; there isn't any dispute there. And, in the minds of those who believe he was born in Kenya, that means he's not eligible to be President.
Lets move to Ted Cruz. He was born in Canada. His father wasn't a US Citizen at the time of his birth. His mother was. So if Obama being born in Kenya supposedly matters, why does Cruz being born in Canada NOT matter?
I hope those beating the 'birther/hypocrite' drum this campaign season in order to trash who at this point seems like the most solid conservative candidate running are zotted without mercy.

Fascinating. The addendum changing the mother’s necessary stay in the USA to 2 years after age 14 from five years after age 14 happened in 1986.
Thus in 1986 it could be said that Barack Obama was RETROACTIVELY a natural born citizen at birth.
Then why did he take such precautions to hide his background??????
Possible reasons might be that by that time, he was already a citizen of Indonesia, clearly. Does that affect anything? If someone is retroactively a NBC, but before the retroactive law he had become a citizen of a different country, does that affect his NBC status?
Also, by that time, he had applied to American colleges, probably as a foreigner. And his grandmother may have illegally found him some social security numbers so that he could hold his ice cream shop jobs and such.
This is absolutely a very interesting subject. Too bad no investigative journalist wants to risk his life to delve into this.

Remember that the highest court in the land once ruled it was acceptable for one man to own another as property.
If you are born an American citizen, it matters not where.
Cruz is a citizen. No need to search for his birth certificate.

He commited Identity FRAUD as an ADULT when filling out his college application and student aid application forms....
Either that or when Stanley Ann married Lolo she renounced little Barry’s US Citizenship and the BC flap was a “what is the other hand doing” distraction for it.
If you put all the possible scenarios on a list, there could be multiple events in Barrys life that look really really bad concernign either legal eligibility or moral/ethical eligibility for POTUS.
As a side note to this thread, the major concern about what conservative wins in ’16 is this. Which candidate will be most receptive to patriots getting her / him up to speed with the federal government’s constitutionally limited powers in the Oval Office? /sarc not
We don’t give funding to foreign students. It’s just the reverse. Indonesia (or the foreign country) fully funds eligible students at the expensive foreigner rates to go to school here and bring back trained scholars for their country. If he went as an Indonesian, it was because THEY paid his way, not the Feds here or Occidental.

No it can't - that law isn't retroactive and literally can't be made retroactive. If it was, then you'd have a backwards-cascade of newly created NBCs that were already naturalized, who could then sue over all sorts of things they had to go through to get naturalized which affected their lives, careers, status, etc.

He probably checked the box marked NO to the question, “Are you an American citizen. Anyone doing so should NEVER become the Prresident.
But was he committing fraud by doing so? Possibly not. Not until 1986 did the law change, possibly making him retroactively a NBC. He was applying in 1978, or 79. He may have only held citizenship in Indonesia at that time. And I’m sure his mom (who lived in Indonesia, without him) helped him get Indonesian study grants for his private college tuition.
However, the fraud he committed was the fake selective service document made when he decided to run for President, backdated to the early 1980s.
I want to know this for sure. Earlier up thread someone said it WAS retroactive. I am just learning this right now. Until today I only knew that Obama’s mom in 1961 could definitely not confer her American citizenship upon Barack. How do we find out if the addendum is or is not retroactive?

As an Edmontonian, I have a problem with somebody being born in Calgary and being able to go on to becoming President. That’s more of an Edmonton thing. As a Calgarian born, he’s more suitable to sweeping sidewalks.
Place of birth is irrelevant, OBama is not a natural born citizen even if he was born on US soil, his father is a foreign national, who never was a US Citizen.. He is not natural born and never will be. Its pathetic that the nation has been dumbed down to a point where they thing national born and native born are equivalent.
I guess that whole "We the People..." thing is just flowery language to you? And that part about the right to petition redress is also just a bunch of silly words?
I’m sorry inconvenient truths bother you so much. But hypocrisy is hypocrisy, and I personally hold conservatives to a higher standard because we are more intellectually honest than the other guys. We believe in rule of law, and don’t make things up as we go along.
