(Atlanta) Half of newly diagnosed HIV patients have AIDS, Grady testing finds

Atlanta is ranked number one among US cities when it comes to the rate of new diagnoses of HIV.

Experts say that's because routine HIV testing is not offered in the places where most people get their health care. By the time patients are diagnosed in Atlanta, almost one third have advanced to clinical AIDS.

Since starting a routine testing program in 2013, Grady Hospital has diagnosed an average of two or three patients with HIV every single day.

Atlanta, eh? Would it be pertinent to know what the demographic makeup of Atlanta is?

Here’s another big expense that government run health care will pick up the tab for - meaning, of course, MORE taxes.

Atlanta has a very large gay population. San Francisco of the east is what I’d call it.

I remember even as a teen talk of Piedmont Park as a hangout. In the years since, there has been a large influx from other parts of the country revitalizing a lot of the former depressed areas (e.g., like Grant Park).

From my perspective, in-your-face-debauchery need not necessarily be accompanied by a disregard of the health risks involved. I don’t know if it’s true but I’ve heard that when some of them get HIV, they spread caution to the wind and just let loose not caring about spreading the disease.

Don’t know about Atlanta but went to Boston and was disgusted.
Homosexuals hanging out by the bathroom on route 128 and then we left to go to blue hills where more homosexuals were hanging about in the woods looking for other homosexuals.
We were told later that they have to lock the park up later due to homosexuals roaming about picking up homosexuals to have their public sex.

Sick.

I think it’s that way most anywhere you go. Any secluded public spot where they can meet and ‘do’.

Yes, but that doesn’t fit the “gay agenda” narrative, it is an STD that is “equally” transmitted between all sexual, orientations. s/

Keep in mind that a lot of hemophiliacs got infected by HIV-contaminated blood before we knew about AIDS. What new diseases are currently spreading around the gay community which we don’t have tests for yet? Who knows.

Oh yes. A significant representation among the population at large (1.3-1.5%? at best?). I doubt it is even that.

Regardless, we have to accept and endorse their strange and dangerous behavior and lump it in with all the other peccadillos of the ‘normal’ population because they cannot be stigmatized.

But our concern a few years ago was the police breaking up random and back room sex at a gay night club. With homosexuals being the most protected minority, there is nothing whatsoever anyone can do to prevent the spread of AIDS without being called a bigot. They would rather kill each other off than become abstinent and stop the spread of the disease.

I stopped at a rest stop in SC and noticed men just sitting by themselves or loitering outside the men’s room, catching the eye of the men who would enter.

Completely disgusting.

It takes about 8-10 years for untreated HIV to advance to clinical AIDS. Across Georgia, about a third of the people who find out they’re positive fall into this category of late diagnosis.

It's not that Atlanta doesn't have the tests, but that people refuse to get tested and give it to their one night stands for a decade before becoming sick enough for their doctor to make them get tested.

It’s also likely that they had a part in helping develop the antiobiotic resistant strains of gonorrhea and syphillis, given the disproportionate spread of those diseases amongst their ranks as well. So another possibility out there is that we could see a new variation of an existing STD that is resistant, if not immune, to the medical treatments for it thanks to rampant, wild, behavior on their part.

I had the kids with me on a hike in the Blue Hills many moons ago. We saw two couples engaged in sodomy before we got out of there.

Yuck.
My kids were small and we decided to go for a hike as it’s a nice place.
Boy what utter disgusting people there were.

Men lurking n the woods , hiding behind trees as we walked up and men who were only there to have sex with other guys.

We left and it was later I was told the reason why they had to close the place at nights.

They said what they do is in their bedroom and yet all they ever do is tell us they should be married, get kids and then have sex with other strangers in parks, dog parks, hiking trials, public bathrooms etc.

It’s sick and disgusting.
