In the wake of the #LAPDShooting, the media’s already decided to set the narrative: one where racist cops shoot an unarmed, homeless, black man. You know… just because. But as we comb through this video, there are some key, shocking facts that you may have never heard and/or seen before. Facts that could change everything..

What do you think? Merely another case of police brutality/racism... even after watching this video?

Having gone through basic infantry training at Camp Hood Texas in WWII and a couple of weeks of advanced infantry training at Camp Rucker and then on to Leyte, I will speak for myself and perhaps others in saying that his first rationalization is way off base. We were taught to kill or/and be killed if necessary for the objective. It is correct that the service tried to give us the best training under the circumstances to keep unharmed but I don’t recall anyone, including cadre, telling me such nonsense that I couldn’t be killed. Makes me wonder how and where Ambrose got such an idea.

Good point, and I like your political musings.

But, even though I have good anti-virus and popup blocking, it doesn’t work for your site.

One darkens the text that it can’t be read, plus blocks much of the text also.

Then there is another on the bottom right.

Any site that is that invasive, I just close.

Then open it again, sometimes it won’t do it the second time.

The Breitbart site does the same thing.

It didn’t do that when Andrew was alive.

I talked to one of the bosses at Breitbart at an event last year and mentioned it to him.

He was not aware of it, and said he would get it stopped.

Didn’t happen.

So I don’t go there for any reason, lots of others do the same with invasive links. I’m too busy to bother with reading something I can actually see other places if I have to click ads and promotions away in order to see the content.

Something to consider.

Your writings are good enough IMO to allow them to be read without all the stuff in the way of actually good writings.

Keep up the good work, and if possible make it easier to see them.

Thanks.

He gets paid merely for displaying the ad.

Alrighty. I still see nothing wrong here.

"Maybe I'm missing something, Humble. I looked at the home page of Crowder's blog and I don't see any ads. I didn't check the other pages."

Against my better judgement, I did click on the link to this blog. My experience was decidedly different from yours.

I immediately got three pop-ups and one pop-under.

I took a look around for back links to other websites, which is a common courtesy when you're posting in someone else's living room. There were none. (I'm not quite sure how this blog brings traffic to FR without a mention or a back link.)

So I came back to FR only to find that my browser display time was noticeably degraded. I cleared my cookies and then did a restart, only to find two programs running in the background. And they weren't there before I went visiting.

This is one site I will definitely *not* be visiting again.

My experience on this blog site (if you’re interested) in post #125.

Oh - By the way - I too have stopped going to Breitbart.

There are several sources that post here on FR that have just gotten too bothersome to click on. Breitbart leads the pack.

The quest to monetize will eventually kill their cash flow cow, just like it did with Horowitz’s NewsRealBlog.

Thanks for the full report, Bumi. It’s a troubling one.

I have some active anti-malware / anti-tracking tools running on my machine. Perhaps that’s why I only got one pop-up, and never saw any ads when I visited. I suppose I’ve become spoiled — sorry your experience was different.

Steven, are you aware of the things Shibumi found at your site?

I am amazed that anyone surfs the net without an adblocker, anti-malware and anti-tracking tools and then complains.
Ads are everywhere. It is how the vast majority of sites cover their expenses.
If I didn’t have the tools to block the mosts annoying types such as pop-ups I wouldn’t go anywhere on the web.
Geez, even FR attempts to apply a tracker.

Just pointing out that he is just using us as an advertising tool.
It’s a fact.

Ironic, considering the content we read on Free Republic.
