In the wake of the #LAPDShooting, the media’s already decided to set the narrative: one where racist cops shoot an unarmed, homeless, black man. You know… just because. But as we comb through this video, there are some key, shocking facts that you may have never heard and/or seen before. Facts that could change everything..

What do you think? Merely another case of police brutality/racism... even after watching this video?

While (Crowder) may or may not contribute financially directly, he does bring people to join Free republic, to which a few do contribute.

Where is the link to FR on his site? I haven't been able to find it.

Also, Ghostery indicates that there are 10 trackers on that site, including these directly connected with delivering ads to your computer and tracking your activities:

AdSupply
Criteo
DoubleClick
Quantcast

I use AdBlock, but it doesn’t work on that type of ad.

BTW, more and more I am getting messages from websites begging me to turn off my ad blocker so they can deliver their ads to my screen.

I have adblock plus and have no problems. However I sometimes have to disable a specific feature to play a video.

Just ignore humblegunner. He’s a closet lib and sometimes kind of a prick.

Actually in some instances Humble is correct. FR doesn’t need bloggers that post excerpts in order to drive traffic to their sites and never converse on FR. They are users. That just doesn’t apply to Steven Crowder.

Until Mr. Robinson gets back with a response to Post 64 (the one asking him for a policy decision/clarification) can we please cease with the current (and increasinging contentious) back and forth over whether blogs should be posted in full vice excerpter ... and return to the original subject of this thread? It seems to be a good and important issue to discuss, particularly given the recent decisions to forego Federal prosecution of both George Zimmerman and Officer Darren Wilson.

Class warfare, race warfare, gender warfare, generational warfare, it’s all straight out of how to bring down a nation. Divide and conquer works. Separate people into exclusive groups, set them at each others throats and you can take over. The traitor within.

It’s, to coin a term (/sarc), Identity Politics.

The problem is that divide and conquor relies on the “conquor” part being feasible. I don’t think it is: I think that the forces involved are too large and when set loose will be unmanageable and will turn on one another. The result is (to coin another term /sarc) Balkanization.

You seem to promote yourself to being the wannabe blog post eliminator! You are like a security guard who carries no weapon. AKA Barney Fife.

And all this complaining you do is eating up Jim Rob’s bandwidth. I hope you are donating heavily.

The left’s intent is to destroy the US while looking innocent. They honestly dont believe they will suffer any consequences.

Yup. I’ve mentioned the concept of “de-policing” to a number of unabashedly Progressive urbanist friends and they really aren’t capable of tying together the pieces of the notion that it really doesn’t matter whether the much-hated police are so spitefully unprofessional to do such a thing - THEY still end up unprotected in the middle of a riot zone. Where the rioters aren’t going to be taking the time to check for ACLU membership cards ....

On the specific page that was linked from FR are these "Promoted Content from the Web" (aka ads)

So, did you click on them? No?

I wonder how Steven got paid for your visit, then.

In one of his books (Citizen Soldiers, I think) Stephen Ambrose talks about a study showing that the typical US WWII combat soldier went through two stages of rationalization followed by one of realization. I think they apply here.

The first rationalization was that they couldn’t die, they were too smart, too well trained, too fast, too good, etc.

The second rationalization was that they COULD die, so they needed to be smarter, faster, more situationally aware, better.

The realization (third and final stage) was that they WERE GOING TO DIE and only by finding somewhere else could they avoid it.

Progressives tend not to understand history, let alone learn anything from it (Progressivism not having worked because the right people havent been responsible for implementing it yet, for instance). So they’re pretty much going to be stuck in the first rationalization until the real world hits them in the face. With a brick, or a bottle, or some other instrument of blunt force trauma. And chances are, when that happens, not too many are going to be around to get to the second rationalization.
