Just how ginormous is Apple Inc. now?

As the iPhone-maker’s shares continue to set fresh record highs, its market cap is now above $765 billion. Combined with Exxon Mobil Corp.'s pullback over the past six months, Apple has pulled off the rare occurrence of being worth at least double any other publicly traded U.S. company. No. 2 Exxon’s market cap has eased to $374 billion.

Ahhhh ... I’m envious!

Actually, I’m getting a new iPad in another few days, but it’s as a result of a problem with my iPad, 4th Generation model. The Apple Store volunteered to replace it for no cost to me. So, I’m expecting it to arrive in another few days now. I went to the Apple Store over the weekend and that was the resolution they suggested.

Mine is a 64 GB model, too, and with cellular. I would recommend for all to get it with cellular, even if you don’t use it, because it will have extra hardware included in it - like GPS, for example. One doesn’t even have to activate the cellular connectivity if one doesn’t want to, but I have all along. It’s like “falling off a log” to activate the cellular ... no person to talk to, just do it on your iPad and punch in your credit card number and you’re done. That’s it!

iPads are great! Mine goes with me everywhere. While I’ve been on this thread, I’ve moved from home to Starbucks. Having a coffee now ... :-) ...

I didn’t say that Texas would disappear, so they’ll still be “standing” ... in an ECONOMIC DEPRESSION ....

I have to disagree with your premise. Texas is a lot more diversified than it used to be.  Oil is still important. There is no doubt about that, but there is also quite a bit of tech and manufacturing coming out of Texas these days.

Sadly, we're also being innundated by mexican illegals.

Star Traveler is gloBULList statist America hater and defends the status quo tooth and nail. He is of the opinion that Americans are inferior and cannot manufacture electronics. We have 300,000,000 and we cannot manufacture electronics? Yes he thinks that.

He also thinks with out the paltry aid we give Israel they would cease to exits. In addition no state could ever manage as thier own country, they would be economic basket cases with out FedGov. Yes he believes that.

The people in the USA will be DEMANDING that any company manufacturing in TEXAS and selling product in the USA, be REPATRIOTED back to the USA, because those are USA jobs!

If you don’t believe that ... then look at this thread where there is the DEMAND that jobs be REPATRIOTED back to the USA. And if this happens with TEXAS ... with Texas TAKING AWAY USA JOBS ... the demand will be OVERWHELMING!!

Cuba will join with Russia and China in supporting Mexico to REPATRIATE TEXAS back to Mexico, too!

SO, even if the remaining former USA people in Texas resist that, Texas will be ABSOLUTELY DEVASTATED because of war with Mexico, Russian tanks and advisors, Cuban military and Chinese suppport. There will be NOTHING LEFT OF TEXAS!!

Since the manufacturing was indigenous to Texas and not off shored to there your stupid analogy is just that - stupid.

If it was “in the USA” before ... and it is forcibly taken out of the USA ... then, yes, people in the USA will probably demand it be repatrioted. I mean, if some manufacturing was forcibly taken out of the USA (as opposed to some business decision and lack of skilled workers here) ... I certainly will be demanding that a USA factory which was forcibly removed from the USA be returned to the USA! A lot of other people would, too!

You have it 180 out. The USA would be in a depression if not for Texas.

Why?

I guess you haven’t been paying attention to economic statistics. Texas is booming, lifting all statistics up.

I’ve lived in Texas, too ... and my parents were there until they died. I took care of my dad in Dallas for many years until he died. My brother is a native Texan, being born there. AND I can tell you ... TEXANS are NOT THAT STUPID as to pack up and leave the USA ... LOL ...

Anyone who posts that garbage is an absolute IDIOT!
