Just how ginormous is Apple Inc. now?
As the iPhone-maker’s shares continue to set fresh record highs, its market cap is now above $765 billion. Combined with Exxon Mobil Corp.'s pullback over the past six months, Apple has pulled off the rare occurrence of being worth at least double any other publicly traded U.S. company. No. 2 Exxon’s market cap has eased to $374 billion.

And one of the major employers in the USA, too ... :-) ... plus being one of the MAJOR TAXPAYERS of all companies in the USA.
Israel GDP $291 Billion, aid from USA $3.1 Billion about 1% of GDP. Most of that money has to be spent on US made military hardware.
Take away the support from the USA and see what happens to Israel!

There’s no question about it ... without the USA supporting Israel, and in the past up to now, it would have been destroyed. That is the nature and importance of the support from the USA. It’s that critical.
But, it’s sorta silly to get sidetracked on Israel and the USA on an Apple thread ... :-) ...
Open up a new thread on Israel and the USA’s support, post an article, and then I’ll be over there posting on that thread.

I didn’t say that Texas would disappear, so they’ll still be “standing” ... in an ECONOMIC DEPRESSION ....
You have it 180 out. The USA would be in a depression if not for Texas.

What would happen is that any manufacturing in Texas would need to move back to the USA (you know ... “bring back jobs to the USA”). And then Oklahoma would have to build a fence along the land border of Texas to keep out the ILLEGAL ALIENS. For the first time in Oklahoma’s history, they would have a “Navy” to patrol the Red River to keep out ILLEGAL ALIENS!
On top of that, a good portion of the US citizens would be packing up to move back into the USA. Then the Mexicans would be flooding even more into Texas, because they would now see it as Texas coming back to Mexico, finally. Mexico would be demanding that the rights of the Mexicans there in Texas must be protected. Texas would probably capitulate and become another state of Mexico, and bring Mexican manufacturing into Texas, hiring Mexican workers - who would finally be in their “home country”.
Russia would probably send advisors and military equipment to Mexico, in order to enforce Mexico’s rights over Texas. China would block any UN Resolutions supporting Texas, along with Russia. All the former US citizens would be flooding out of Texas to avoid the coming war with Russian tanks and advisors and the Mexican Army. Then Texas would be left in Mexican hands, who would then welcome the incoming Mexican Army from the south, LIBERATING TEXAS ... finally!
So, it would be the end of Texas, at least as a free place, and they would take their place among the Mexican states. The ILLEGAL ALIENS in Texas and all the other Mexicans would be celebrating!
Of course the USA would NOT LIFT A FINGER to help Texas from the Mexican Army, or the Chinese advisors and the Russian Tanks and military personnel. The USA would figure if Texas was stupid enough to leave the USA, they got what they deserved ... LOL ...
BUT THEN AGAIN ... we do know that people are NOT THAT STUPID IN TEXAS and they would NOT BE LEAVING THE USA!
ANYONE WHO SAYS TEXAS NEEDS TO LEAVE THE USA ... is simply no more than an IDIOT!!
